Once Again!

I have been denied PS for much needed cure for several constant rashes.  My first very well documented case was denied.  My PS appealed with even more documentations and yet again denied!  I have posted on the PS boards with no advice yet.  Just wondering if there is anyone out there who has been thru the same or has experience with this and can help me? Thanks!

No advice, my ins. is ironclad.  No PS except breast reconstruction after mastectomy.  I've read others who say just keep going to the doc for every little thing, and take pics, lots and lots of pics.  And keep trying, they say that persistence pays off.  Good luck to you, I really hope you can win your battle with the evil ogres of the insurance fairyland. Personally I would try another surgeon who works with bariatric surgeons or at least one you are reccomended to by your bariatric surgeon. My insurance covered tummy tuck buttlift (circumference),  2nd surgery few months later, breast reduction with breast lift. From what I was told the coding is most important and the words "medically necessary". I was approved first time it was sent in....my plastic surgeon ironically was sharing an office with my bariatric surgeon as they both were heads of their depts at that hopsital. Seriously I did not know at all. I went by my network list and boy was I happy I blindly picked him. Go for it...

Hi!  My PS was referred to me by my PCP.  My PS is also from the same hospital as my WLS Doc!  I will check around!  Thanks!
