Hey Everyone I just got back from my boxing class....  Do you find one of the reasons it's hard to workout is that you just plain feel tired all the time  I just wanted to make some suggestions that may help you. Try and eat on time and often, this will help your blood sugar from falling to low. Try and get some fresh air.  Have you ever noticed no matter the weather if you walk to the mail box or pick up the paper that fresh air seems to wake you up and give a kick. Now if you have kids I know this is hard by try and get at least 8 hours of sleep.  We are so sleep deprived and it really makes a big difference in how we feel and our level of energy through out the day. Try and not drink to much coffee and or caffeine related drinks.  They wire you up and the make you crash. For those of us that have had a weight loss procedure, always make sure your labs are up to date. Hopefully with these suggestions you will find you can do that exercise and be shocked  to find working out recharges your batteries So my friends, Did You Move To Lose and or Maintain Today?  Ain't no moving out side for me today  We have this cold misty fog out and I can't see my hand in front of me.  I am glad I went to my boxing class early... Let's Jam people!!!!!! Take care, Kathy

30 min of weight training. Would have been 40 but I was running late this morning. Oh well... 30 is better than nothing! Besides, I can't miss on Tuesdays - that's when my eye candy is at the gym

Hehehe Bekah, Now quit paying attention to the eye candy and focus on your workout...yea right If you find you only have 30 mins for the workout then work one set after the other without taking much of a break in between. This way you will get your cardio workout as well..... Keep up the great job you are doing Take care, Kathy

Boy Kathy, you just described me to a tee!  Yes, I am exhausted all the time. I am planning on seeing my pcp over the Easter break to request I get my labs done - they haven't been done since wls, I eat healthily (although could do better at times),  I walk outside almost everyday, I only drink water - hot or cold, so no caffeine there, I don't get enough unbroken sleep - I dont' know why, I constantly wake up several times a night. So I need to find out why I feel and my body is a wreck, and I have a suspicion I will find out when I get my labs done... Anyway, only managed to get in a couple of sets of stomach crunches today, but glad I did those. Hope the misty fog clears soon for you so you can get out again Kathy

I agree so much with getting enough sleep.  Last week my schedule got off and the whole week sucked.  I am back in control and did a killer work out today.  I walked 4 miles in a little less then an hour  then I worked the lower body  for 20 minutes.  Average heart rate was 146, max heart rate was 165.  I am happy to be back!  Tired and deserve the rest!  I stepped 12926 today and will probebly step past 13000.  That would be a record for me.

Hi all, Quick and to the point today...      Please dont forget about sleep apnea.  I had it pre op and was on a cpap but with the 100lb loss I was not snoring anymore but in the last few months was tired all the time.      SO! one of my new years resolutions was getting a new sleep study since it had been 7yrs.      I still have apnea, alot less but still there, so back on the cpap, I dont like wearing it but it really helps.  I dont think we value sleep and rest like we should.      PT on the elbow last night and 30 mins on the treadmill, forest walk at 10 incline and 3.5 pace. Take care and get your zzzzz's, Tmac

I also had Sleep apnea and needed a Cpap machine.  I sleep much better now but once in a blue moon I wake up with a headache and that is what initially made me see a doctor and got the diagnosis of apnea.  Is the Cpap machine the only option for you?  I know that one of my issues is a slight deviated septum. I hated the machine, but agree that I felt so much better getting the rest.

Yeah I know what you're saying about other options....one was getting my allergies under control and had a work up done.  My physical part looks ok so I am stuck with the machine. Luckily the newer machines are much quieter and the masks are less to deal with, I use what they call nasal pillows. Beats getting drowsy behind the wheel.... I just thought when I stopped snoring my apena was gone so my point being anyone post op might want to get rechecked. Here is another thing, the MOVING has really helped my rest though, so keep moving and improve your sleep! Tmac
