Does anyone know if its ok to eat tootsie rolls after the rny? I know we aren't suppose to swallow gum, and I didn't even think about it. I ate about 6 tootsie rolls. I'm just wondering if it is dangerous. Will it get stuck ? Thanks for the help.

Well, I have eaten them a few times, and they seem to pretty much just disolve.  I didn't have any problems with them myself.  Especially if you chewed them up. Hope this helps. Nikei

As long as you chew them and not swallow them whole, it should be fine.  Eat too many and you may dump, but as far as them getting stuck - I doubt it.  Never have for me anyways.

Anything is pretty much fine (with the exception of swallowing gum) as long as you chew it enough. Dawn

I swallow gum all the time and (so far) I'm fine...so I certainly wouldn't worry about tootsie rolls getting "stuck"...but I would worry about dumping... Heather

They aren't exactly a great food choice...but I have to admit that at halloween time last year...I was sooooooo addicted to those derned things...They are probably at least 4 lbs of my winter weight gain...so careful there...while they are fat free...they are not sugar / carb free.  I would eat handfuls of those midgets...I probably ate two giant sized bags of them over a two month time frame! Naughty little treats!  They really are!
