New here....

Hi everyone....My name is Ellie and im almost 2 years out from gastric bypass.  i look at june 7th 2006 as my new birthday! i started this journey life changing  journey at 308 and a size 28...Now at 180 and a size 14 Hoping to reach my goal of 140 soon.  Just wanted to connect with others who have had this wonderful life changing surgery.  Im feeling very blessed in my life and just wanted to say hi!!!

Hi Ellie, welcome to the Grad board, I think it's important that each of us be there and support one another especially at this time.  The first year was so easy for many of us, it didn't take a whole lot of work to lose the weight but after the honeymoon it is the real deal.....we MUST work for what we want. Congrats on your weight loss success.

Welcome Ellie!  Congratulations on your success!  You'll find a lot of great information and support here on the grad board.   Be warned though, replies aren't as fast as on the main board.  Partticularly on the weekends!  Michele

Welcome Ellie, I'll be 2 yrs on May 3.  I've not quite gotten to my goal either.  Just like Dana says, we' ve got to work at it now.  ;(   You will find lots of help and motivation on this board. Cindy

Hi Ellie, I'm new here too.  15 months out for me and below goal but definitely not 'cured'.  I'll be obese in my size-four body the rest of my life and hope never to forget it or take it for granted.   This is a great mb, wonderful people and so helpful! Molly
