Good News Update
Well, I'm 8 pounds lighter so far since Feb 25. I was sick for two weeks straight and it was difficult not to eat high calorie soups etc, but I did it. I'm am getting better now and going back to the gym three times a week.
I have been eating fresh fruit, vegetables and lean meats. No breads, grains, pastas even though macaroni and cheese sound good to me right now. Also, no high fat things like cheeses. I am having non-fat dairy as well. Of course I do little cheats now and then like sneaking a tiny chocolate Easter eggs now and then when I pass the receptionist at work. She always has a bowl of chocolates!
But I feel like I am getting back on track and on an even keel. I can't wait to get back in to my size 12 wardrobe.

Glad to hear your on track, ME TOOOO i lost 5lbs so far kicking the bread and cheese it's sure helps.. keep up the good work, stay focused and remember you can do it... I read your profile and think your beautiful, we are always our worst enemys... (just a side note i also gained weight and am now trying very hard to drop some of it.) also sorry to hear about your cat. YOUR SIZE 12 CLOTHES ARE WAITING FOR YOU,, (Mine to, very soon, i will have no muffin tops)
Don't get me started on the muffin tops. What is up with some women and what they wear these days??? Do they not have a full length mirror? I thought I would buy a new outfit a few weeks ago and I went to the mall and saw nothing I liked. I am not missing much with current fashions. I was hoping that those 1970's smock tops were a thing of the past, with the empire waist and gathers everywhere that make everyone look pregnant. It seems that everyone is wearing maternity clothes with the exception of pregnant women, they are wearing skin tight t shirts and dresses. Go figure.

Yeah, what is up with that? The pregnant women are wearing tight pants with crop tops so that their belly shows. And the non pregnant women are wearing maternity clothes. I went shopping in hopes of finding some cute spring and summer clothes. And I came home with nothing. I don't want to look pregnant. LOL. There doesn't seem to be a happy medium in fashion these days. Stuff is either really teeny bopper or maw-maw. I just want something in between the two extremes. LOL. Is that too much to ask? Apparently it is. Melissa
Good for you Dee!! I am right there with you - I'm trying to get the last 8 lbs off to make my goal. I am keeping track of my eating on fitday.com - so far, so good. A coworker asked me if I had lost weight today - that's always a good sign that things are working - LOL!!
Keep up the good work - you will be looking hot(ter) for summer!!
You're doing great. And it sounds like you're not being so fanatical that you can't eat an itty-bitty treat and not go overboard. I hear you about your size 12's. I was consistently in 10's at my lowest; I'm currently in 14's; I badly want to at least get back into 12's. Apparently not badly enough, as I am really struggling. Great a week or so and then disastrous for several days or a week; good again for awhile, then horrible; you know the drill.
Be strong and do it--I know you are determined & highly motivated for that scuba trip and summer in general!

Always,
Jo
YAY!!! What a trooper you can be! That ought to get your confidence up there! Now if we can find some good clothes! I'm with you on the styles! I cannot get used to these big flowery and bold crazy patterns and stuff on skirts and dresses...I am not into big bold things on my body! I want slenderizing stuff...Where was this stuff when I was trying to hide fat? I don't want to look like a prego sheet of wall paper. And who brought back this polyester stuff that your body doesn't breathe in? I don't get it. I wear natural fabrics. Maybe a tiny bit of spandex in it...but full out polyester? Might as well wear saran wrap and a ton of deoderant.
