Hey Everyone, I can't believe it!  They are saying the sun has been spotted over IL.  And will stay a day or two.  I am hoping to get out and walk some and ride my bike  I am doing the happy dance.  Man yesterday work wise was a killer  I hope today is more "calm". So I did get to my boxing class last night and there was no steam in my engine.  Not sure why, just really tired I guess.  I am headed out in a few mins for a morning class.  They keep changing the schedule and I am trying to stay on it.  I also, "want" to go to the gym tonight for my upper body workout So my friends, Did You Move To Lose and or Maintain Today?  Come on, if I can drag my butt off the couch and or out of bed early you can to  Come on, SPRING IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER Take care, Kathy

I dont see mondays thread so this is for monday.  I did not get to the gym but I did a 46 minute hike outside up and down hills.  Average heart rat was 134 and max heart rate was 162.  I will go to the gym today!  I see myself falling into bad habits again and finding myself too busy to check in here so I am making a commitment to this thread to check in!  I will be here everyday!

Hey Dana, I am bad  I was so busy yesterday with the boards, I was only able to get it posted on the Main board....sorry about that.  But today is another day..... Don't beat yourself up.  The gym is not the only place to feel successful.  Doing your hike sounds like fun and a change from the gym....awesome job. Give yourself a pat on the back.  Even though you didn't get to the gym you still made moving to lose a priority  You have inspired me See you tomorrow....

Hey Tammy, YOU GO GIRL.... I am smelling burning rubber for sure  I can't wait for it to stay late out until 9:00.  I love it as no matter what you still have time to walk the dog or hop on the bike.... I am trying to look mysterious but I think I smiled to big....hehehe  I had bad teeth my whole life so I am getting the most out of my new smile... Take care, Kathy

Today I did 30 minutes of running about 3.2 miles and I did thirty minutes of weight training. I am stressed because I see myself grazing at night and in the past nine months I have gained 10 lbs. I know I need to focus on my eatting habits and my exercise. I usually do at least 1 hour 5-6 times a week. I will make myself do a food diary.

May I suggest you go to http://www.thedailyplate.com/ This is a great website for tracking your food and exercise.  Also, journal again and find what is making you eat at night....tricker foods, stuff around the house?  Maybe you can workout at night and this will help. Get rid of all bad foods in the house and when you graze there will only be good choices.  Here is one that I just LOVE... For a night snack and I miss my icecream.  Fage yogurt NF, SF strawberry syrup, fresh strawberries and muesli.  YUMMY!!!  Try it you may like it. Take care, Kathy

I ran 2.3 miles and did circuit training--and I am suffering! I think I figured out why. I have a funky gait---I notice on the eliptical and the bike---but I think it's causing me problems running. I have an appointment with a physiologist Friday to watch and diagnose--but in the meantime it's some yucky joint pain! I also made an appointment for a massage next Tuesday. This is a big deal to me---for a couple of reason. 1) funky body image stuff---this will be my first massage in a year--floppy skin and all and 2) I have psoraisis and it's scaly and lizard-like...so I made sure the masseus (sp???) knew that in advance and was OK with it. My health insurance has a massage benefit--they'll pay up to $30 a vist 30 X a year. An hour long massage here costs $45--so I'll only be out of pocket $15--if it all goes right. This is my new way to treat myself for all the hard exercise work etc. :-) Kim

I hear ya with the psoriasis and floppy skin - I've got both of those.  Good thought to check with the masseus beforehand rather than get a negative reaction which would be horrid.  Enjoy!  What a good way to reward yourself - I bet before wls it may have been a food related reward!

Hi Kim, I am sorry to hear you are having issues but you are doing the right thing.  Sometimes you can get special running shoes and inserts to help you with your running.  I wanted to be a runner but couldn't due to bad knees....  Keep us posted..and girl friend, if my insurance paid for that I would no matter what was flopping on the table Take care, Kathy
