I haven't been doing so well on Fitday recently - it's too much effort...  God, I'm lazy B - Aunt Jemima Sausage, Egg, & Cheese breakfast sandwich, Venti Breve Caffe Mocha from S'Bux S - Trail mix L - Stouffer's Chicken Asiago Panini, Ricotta Mousse S - Celery & Peanut butter, Venti Breve Caffe Mocha from S'Bux S - Trail Mix D - Homemade Beef Pot Pie, Ricotta Mousse S - Earl Grey Tea, Cheddar Cheese with Caramelized Onions (probably 3 oz), 3 Multigrain crackers I'll try to enter this in Fitday and do the math.  Will edit later... ETA - ok, back!  Here are the totals: Total calories ingested - 4460 calories from fat - 2806 (312 g) calories from carbs - 834 (240 g) calories from protein - 643 (161 g) DS Math Total calories absorbed - 1790 (wow!  under 2000 again!) calories from fat - 561.2 calories from carbs - 834 calories from protein - 385.8 I've been trying to cut out extra sugar (not my mochas, though, can't go too crazy!) since I had that 3 pound time-of-month gain (which is gone, thank god!).  I can really see a difference.  I'm under my normal 157 by a couple.  It's so weird to be "normal" like my friends and be able to just cut back for a couple of days and see the pounds go bye-bye!

Bronwen I have a DS friend that said she heard this weekend that DSers malabsorb complex carbs but not sugar, I don't see you do the DS calc on the carbs, have you heard anything on this?

Yeah, I've heard that, but I can't separate the complex carbs from the simple ones in my carb count, so I just count 'em all - I like to think it keeps me honest .  Supposedly, DSers don't absorb about 40% of the complex carbs we eat, but we absorb 100% of the simple ones.  I think it was Dr. Rabkin in CA that said this - he's a very reputable DS surgeon, so I'd trust him.

OK Carla,  I see myself falling into bad habits again.  I WILL FIND TIME TO LOG MY FOOD!  I will Log my activity!  I will excercise everyday!   I will get my protein in.  I will eat enough of the right foods and not eat too many of the poor choices!  I will check in at OH on the accountability thread and the move to lose thread! This being said,  Here was yesterdays food.  I did get a 45 minute hike by my house with an average heart rate of 134 and a max heart rate of 162.
