I dont think so.. if you look at what is the norm it is 80 to 136.. Now we malabsorb a lot of that so how is it to much.  I believe that theroy of protein first.  Remember millions of years ago we didnt have processed food so all our nuts came from meat and plants and there wasnt an obesity problem.  Processed food and fast and quick food is what is causing the epidemic in this country now.  If you consider the cycle we consumer food to keep our body alive (sugar, carbs, fat, protein).  If you want the fat gone you have to reduce the things (sugar, carbs) to get to it.  than you reduce the fat intake and it goes right for our bodies to burn those unwanted fat pockets off. At least thats my humble opinion. Yeah.  you got close to 1000. Do you exercise at all.  that could play a role in what you need to consume on daily basis.. love the protein number...as well as the others.. you did good girl Carla

Carla, yes I do cardio, pilates 2 times a day since 2001, I use a reformer not floor pilates and I do walk but inside not out due to allergies.  30 min of advanced pilates is equal to walking 1:50min 300 calories burned at 4.5 miles per hr,..I work out every single day unless I am sick. Have always done this since teenager...I used to walk outside when I live up north about 4 miles day each morning but went out as soon as it got light in am for probably 20 yrs...it killed my spine, I have 3 herniated disks and spinal deterioration. The pilates has helped tremendously. I have to drop some calories, I was at 126 for last few days and ot jumped to 128.5 today, fluid? Possibly I had cottage cheese for last 4 days...I've got the carbs out so it must be the calories are too high...today I am cutting it and we will see what happens.

Well, fitday is back so I can tell you how I did.  Breakfast: 1/4 cup TVP, 1 serving of plain oatmeal and 1 cup soy milk Snack: 1 cheese stick and 12 oz V-8 Juice Lunch: 5 oz Shark with 1/2 cup steamed rice. Didn't finish the rice but counted it all Snack: 1 oz beef jerky , 3 SF Peeps (I Just had to see what all the fuss was about. Those are good. Will I be able to stay with just one? Well, the stomach ache I had later in the evening says PROBABLY) Dinner: 4 oz beef stewed, 1/3 cup potato, 1/3 cup carrots (with assorted onions and celery) and then I had a marshmallow easter bunny (Sugar Free of Course)  This is bad. Sugar Free candy is getting to be a problem but the calories aren't showing it, at least. Totals:  Calories: 1625 Fat: 44 Carbs: 197 Protein: 130

OMG! I lead you astray! SF Choc Almonds and Cashews and peanuts...I haven't tried the gummy bears or the jellybeans. I know I can't do those cuz they disappear by the handful and then, oops? Where'd they go?  I just had to try those sugar free peeps..And I sold Walgreens out of them on the Eastside. Now I'm headed to the westside to do the same over there...Those are so good...I'll be eating them all summer long though...Can only do ONE+AT+A+TIME...Even though they are saying a serving is 6. Who can eat three? I don't think I could eat three peeps before WLS and not get a sugar rush and then crash...

Pretty good day.  Here's how it looked: B:  mocha java protein shake (4 oz. choc soy slender + Whey Gourmet Artic Frappe Cappiccino), usual coffee w/ LF H&H.  Post breakfast had a Cafe Americano w/ H&H. S:  1/2 Revival Autumn Frost protein bar. L:  Crab cake & 1/2 Tbsp. remoulade sauce, salad w/light balsamic dressing. S:  protein hot cocoa (BSN Lean Dessert Cinnamon Roll + Diet Swiss Miss cocoa).  An hour later had a small apple w/ 1 Tbsp cinnamon raisin peanut butter. D:  3 oz. Swiss steak, 2 Joseph's SF choc mint cookies S:  1/2 c. Fiber One cereal + 2 oz. light vanilla soy milk. Oh and I almost forgot.....in the afternoon sipped on new ready-to-drink protein energy drink called Whey Up.  I had the citrus flavor.  Very tart & tangy....definitely liked the taste better once it sat over some ice and got really cold.  Stats on it aren't bad - 90 cals, 1 gram carb and 20 grams protein.  I think it tastes better than the Isopure RTD. Cals:  1406 Fat:  48 Carb:  107 Fiber:  28 Protein:  149 Mary Ellen
