Frankie is it nausea or reflux? I get nausea in my stomach...reflux I used to have in my throat and esphogus. I had a stricture, before surgery had it fixed and it came back then had it fixed again.
Nausea I get very often but never in my throat. I take Zofran when its really bothers me...Do you still have a gallbladder...mine was removed with WLS but I still get nausea some days.
Current weight:120 and still 5'4
My gallbladder was healthy but my surgeon told me he removes every gallbladder because with in a few years it will cause problems and another surgery. Gallbladder syptoms include nausea but yours sounds like reflux the way you describe....after surgery I had it for 6 monthsand every time I tried to eat I had it again with nausea and pain, most days I tried to eat I vomited...when I finally told surgeon he was mad at me for not calling him about it sooner...I had all kinds of test for DVT, scans on stomache, blood....all was fine. The we did a EGD/colonoscopy and found the stricture..had is fixed during EDG and its been fine now and I am 3 yrs out.

Only when I eat too much of the wrong foods or protein shakes too fast.
Then, I get sicker than a dog! More than nausea. My problem is that It's harder for me to purge now to feel better when that happens. So, of course I try to stick with the rules.
This may not be in your case tho. So, definately check with the doc on it.
Hope you feel better soon !
Take care
Sounds all too familiar...I would walk in a circle around the coffee table in my living room and just take deep breaths...it would finally settle down but never go away and when I did go to bed I had 4 pillows. It felt like the food was stuck in back of my throat and above my boobs right there in my chest. Awful feeling. I am so glad I haven't had it but if you are eating anything fried...stop. When you take your drinks or eat do it slowly until you get to the dr....doesn't it make you feel like your pouch is telling you, you ate the wrong thing. I could never have carbonated drinks my whole life because it hurt to swollow it. Let me know how you make out.
