Hi There!!! I am announcing a new workshop for women coming up on Saturday, April 5th  -- I lost 185 pounds 7 years ago when I had RNY and had a bit of a difficult time figuring out what to do with my new body and how to pick out clothes that worked for me, and find new hair and makeup and all those girly things to compliment my thinner new self.

I used to be on the boards here all the time back then but life has moved forward and I havent been back on here much.  I often do talks on getting to goal and staying there for OH at local events and am always asked about doing a workshop.

I really realy wanted to combine the healthy eating, healthy choices and the self confidence and dressing your body with clothes, and new hairstyles and colors and new makeup to celebrate the accomplishments in weight loss.   The woman I am working with to bring this all together is Marie P. Anderson, she is a fashion industry icon and discovered Cindy Crawford.  She is bringing her knowledge and top experts together for a different kind of workshop --

We will have personal individual consults with hair, makeup and fashion experts to help you further in your WLS journey and bring out the "Diva" in you!!  This is not just people talking at you but real consults with real experts.  She has really helped me learn the best clothes, makeup, hair color and hairstyles that work with my new thinner self!!!   I really hope you will check out the link to the workshop

What a GREAT idea.  I only wish I lived closer..... this is something that I am struggling with. I have been obese my whole life so have never really had the experience of styling myself and always either had to wear what was available or what would cover up the expanse! Now that I am smaller, I have no idea what looks good or works for me and hate clothes shopping for this very reason.  I used to hate clothes shopping as I couldnt' find anything to fit that I liked!!!  Also hair styles- I used to have 'big' hair to balance out my big body - but what do I do now? $500 may seem quite a sum, but for me it would be worth it as I KNOW my self esteme would shoot through the roof. By the way, congratulations on your loss and maintenance, and for your new life.
