Did You Move To Lose Today? Now I know why the melt down!
Kathy, I was so touched by your post--about your grandpa & mom.
So of course hearing about Patrick S.'s cancer brought back all the horrible memories--and, like you said, anger & frustration about this terrible disease in all its forms. It's no wonder you've not been yourself. I think you've done pretty darned well, all things considered. You sure kicked serious butt w/ your workout today!
So today I had an excellent workout, but it wasn't at the gym and it wasn't outside--I was working on my youngest daughter's old room (she graduated from h.s. in '99--is married now--and her room was still decorated in wallpaper from about 1990--yikes!
). We just had the top of the walls (the bottom is paneled) drywalled over 4 layers of wallpaper (don't ask), so today--FROM 2:00-11:00 with only about an hr. break!!!--I was in there. Painted the ceiling--put primer on the drywall--and painted w/ 2 tones of paint. The ceiling itself was hellacious . . . and the priming of the walls was very time-consuming b/c the paneling on the bottom took really long to get into all the texture, plus the drywall on the upper part of the wall just sucked up the primer. Lots of trimming to do (for both the primer & regular paint, of course), which I HATE.
And then the 2 tones of paint. No possible way I could have done all that when I weighed 295!!! I just finished about an hr. ago, took a shower, and sat down here--I can tell I'm gonna be so sore tomorrow cause I'm already hurting.
And I'm leaving early tomorrow to go shopping w/ some girlfriends for the day--this ought to be good, me hobbling around! Definitely won't get to the gym tomorrow, but all the walking around will help a little bit! My "workout" today definitely counts for a couple days!!
Enjoy your weekend & take care,
Jo

Always,
Jo
