Hey Everyone, I didn't make it to my boxing class last night.    I got caught up in stuff for work and didn't get done until after 6:20.  My class is at 6:30 and I need at least 30 mins to get there.  I was laying in bed this morning not wanting to get up and I said damn it, this is getting old.  1 day turns into 2 and then 3 and so on.  So I did get my butt out of bed and hit the gym. Back/biceps and ab day! Bicep curls - 25lbs 2x15 Bicep pulls, machine -  2x15 Bicep curl, bar - 25lbs 2x15 Bicep curl incline - 7.5 2x15 Bicep dip, barbell - 15lbs 2x15 Barbell pull down - 2x15 Row pulley - 25lbs 2x15 Back dip with 10lbs weight - 2x15 Side dip with 15lbs weight - 2x15 Incline sit up with 18lb medicine ball - 2x8 Sit ups on exercise ball - 100 front 50 side Leg lift ab kicks - 2x15 I realized today why everything kinda hit the fan and I feel apart.  It wasn't the house or my stinky marriage or money or anything like that.  But I would have told you it was.  I realized it was all the talk about Patrick and his Pancreatic Cancer.  You see my Grandpa on my Dad's side died of it over 30 years ago.  My Mom died a horrific death 17 years ago with it.  I am so damn anger because after all these years NOTHING HAS CHANGED.  NO advancement, no treatment, early detection nothing.  And why?  Because the death rate is 95%.  I posted on the rants and rave board about it.  But that is what had me sooooo angry this week and I didn't realize it until now. So, thank you for putting up with me.  And I hope through me you can see you can crash and burn exercise wise and get back on the as they say.  So back to the gym this morning and boxing tonight.  We are on our way So my friends Did You Move To Lose and or Maintain Today?  It's Friday and we almost have week one behind us. Havn't done anything today -feeling a bit otu of sorts.  Last night, I was so proud of myself for actually doing a bit of running and feeling very inspired to do more, even putting on jogging pants at work rather than trying to look like I'm running late or something.  Well, I tell my husband than I ran some of the way home, and he says, well I bet that looked funny!   Then when he saw the hurt look on my face said, well no only if you were wearing joggers!!!  Couldn't have said a worse thing if he tried. So I spent all evening trying to not stuff myself full of food, giving up completely and giving myself a talking to.  I've now got to re-inspire myself as his words cut like a knife.  It doesn't sound like much, but it went deep into me.  He's so sorry for what he said, but it's the fact that he even thought it that hurts.  I was hoping he would be proud of me too. Sorry, this has turned into a pom party - (poor old me).  I'll get back into it and show him...fighting spirit, not defeated spirit.

Hugs right back attcha Kathy, thanks.  Life's a ***** at times ain't it?  But we get through and just when we think it's never going to stop raining, the sun shines through the dark clouds. By the way, you look one hot momma in your red suitsuit!!  hehe.  Amazing transformation.

I had intentions to walk after work yesterday but I ended up missing because my mom needed me to run errends.  Because I intended to walk after work outside and not at the gym, I did not do the gym either.  Today I tried to make up for it a bit,  I walked 3 miles then worked my upper body 3 sets of 10 each and since I skipped yesterday, I threw in 3 sets of 10 leg curls and leg extentions.  I will do 3 sets of ten crunches tonight.  I haven't gotten brave enough to do squats or lunges yet.  Goal for the weekend is to at least get a good outside walk in.  I am down 3 pounds this week!

Hi Dana, When you start with the squats and lunges FORM is everything with these.  Make sure you have someone show you and they are the most  hated of exercise moves but baby they work Take care, Kathy

Hi Dana you've just reminded me that ages ago I bought a skipping rope that's never been used, (except by my daughter!).  I'm going to get it out this weekend - thanks... PS congrats on the 3 pounds woohoooooo................

Kathy, I'm hanging in for the 8wks just haven't had much time to post b/c I've been working alot. Had a good week here and happy its the weekend!!!! I'll post when I can, but just know that  I haven't given up on the challenge before it even started, LOL!!!!!!

I made it to the gym today! Yeah! Almost had to stay and cover a shift at work but was able to get away. I only had 30 minutes so I did the eliptical with a resistance of 12. I was a sweaty mess after 30 minutes, I usually only go up to 10. I plan on Zumba Saturday and Sunday. I was also sad to hear about Patrick Swayze, that is a horrible death rate for Pancreatic cancer.
