iron
I eat lean beef with a slice or two of tomato on it. No bun. That ups the iron that you get from the lean beef. I take a multi vitamin (chewable childrens) but no other supplement for Iron at all. I find that it bothers me (or it did when I was pregnant both times). When I was pregnant I craved iron and the first time it was liver that I ate for it. the last pregnancy I had plain hamburgers with tomato only...I think I ate those 10 times a week, pregnant with my son...Hamburger for breakfast. Yum.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Try it browned just alittle and then add some juice or gravy to the pan and that might help. Or try it rare. I generally eat beef on the rare side (because it's more tender that way). As a matter of fact, buffalo burger is even better, rare.
shh..Making me hungry.

I've heard good things about the Gentle iron (from vitalady)...because it's non constipating.
I take NOW vitamins Iron complex (5 in the morning). It's the OTC equvilent of REPLIVA..which is a 33 dollar a month prescription....the OTC stuff costs 6 dollars and change. It did really constipate me in the beginning....i started with Repliva and that constipated me terribly. So i take 800 mg of Magnesium oxide daily to help keep things moving...and sometimes I need to take MOM at night. Normally as a DSer...I dn't have these issues, and when it'sthe "off" week ....(repliva is 21 days on, 7 days off)....i go back to normal.
