Something I just discovered this past week along with textured soy protein.  This stuff is awesome.  I make chili with the chunk stuff.. wow is it good, filling and low in fat and high in protein... luv luv luv it.  It's used a lot by vegetarians.  check it out on the web.  textured vegetable soy is the same.  I make breakfast with it.. it is so filling.. great source of fiber and protein for only 80 cals.  So I thought I would try it over my ice cream just for that extra boost of protein.  It was great... check it out...  Carla

I love soy anything!  It gives such great numbers too...If only I could convince my hubby to eat it with me.  I have to trick him or make us separate meals and I hate wasting food...so I usually eat what I make him... Or he eats whatever I cook (expect tofu). I'm not sure how that works?  LOL I try to sneak it in where I can!  It's good stuff!  Glad you found it!  Anita

Ok.. so I see a lot of the soft proteins again.  Thats why your hungry.  Almonds have tons of fat and some protein but you chew them up they go through pretty quick.  They can be deceiving.  than look at the rest.  shakes..bologna (processed meat)  eggs and cheese.. soft again. no wonder you are hungry.  Try and eat some sliced up chicken breast on the salad.  it will hold you a lot longer.  For the almonds you had fro breakfast you could of had oatmeal or a go lean high protein cereal with milk.. its very filling and will hold you longer than almonds will. They are good choices you are making but they and not dense proteins which is why you are hungry.  Think about that.. Remember most nuts tell you to eat nuts if you want to gain weight... that should tell you where they should land on the food chain. See ya tomorrow.. Carla

What a day. It's tough going back to work and answeringfor the way you do things. They just don't understand.  Breakfast: Plain oatmeal with Mighty Tasty Hot Cereal, soy milk, protein powder and dried strawberries Snack: cheese stick and V-8 Juice. I kept forgetting to drink so I got a little dehydrated (dry lips) Lunch: 3 oz chicken breast and a small salad w/Rasp Pomegranat dressing and a slice of american cheese Snack: Orange, 1 cup of chili (from the cookoff...WHICH I WON AGAIN!) and 6 raw grapes (give or take a couple)  Dinner: 2 oz cooked chicken leg meat, 1/2 cup corn and 1/3 cup mashed potatoes. I ate so much during the day at work, I figured dinner was skipable.  Totals: Calories: 1851 Fat: 38 Carbs: 256 Protein: 132 Maybe I needed the carbs for comfort food? that chili was the high mark for carbs until i had the mashed potatoes which were 51 (yikes).   I got the results of my blood tests and there is absolutely nothing wrong with me. Sigh. My B-12 and Iron and Folate are all high. Nothing in the low ranges and negative on the Autoimmune thing. Now what? I guess I just scratch and go bald.
