Update on me post-RESTORe procedure
I posted this on the Revision forum, but thought I would post it here too. At day 6 post-RESTORe procedure, I've now lost 7-1/2 lbs. Never thought it would go that quickly - yippeee!!! I'm certain I had "the procedure" and not the sham because I'm not hungry and not craving. The soft solid phase does not start until a week from Saturday. I'm willing to bet I'll be ready to eat real food by then.
This is the very best thing I've done for myself in the last 5 years (May 7 will be my 5th anniversary of WLS).

Kim - It's a clinical trial to evaluate an incisionless procedure for patients who have either had inadequate weight loss or have regained weight following gastric bypass. The procedure is designed to tighten the opening between the stomach pouch and the small intestine, which may slow down the passage of food to help patients feel full longer after eating. The procedure is similar to endoscopy and the enlarged stoma is sutured without the patient having an incision. They make several sutures around the stoma to tighten it, much like pulling a purse string together. They also cauterize the tissue around the sutures so that scar tissue forms to help hold the sutures. Unfortunately enrollment is the trial is closed, but there is another similar trial called Rose that is currently enrolling. You can find information about it on the Revision forum.
