Question about 5dpt

I haven't tried this yet, and day 5 is the reason. It says to eat chicken cooked dry. OMG - there's no way I could choke down even an ounce of dry chicken! I have enough issues eating chicken anyway, and even the thought of eating it dry makes my pouch shrivel up! I'm three years post-op, and I've only been able to eat chicken in any form for about 8 months. So, what to do?

have you tried swanson canned premium chicken breast? it is just like tuna fish, drain off the juice and it is moist. its worth a shot. tammy

Hey Lynne, I can't eat chicken super dry either........I boiled the chicken breast I ate to add moisture, then again I don't think eating dark meat will hurt you one bit.....the reason for the "dry" chicken description is to see how much restriction you have with dense protein. Good luck girl, give me a shout if I can help. Hugs,

I agree with the others, cook the chicken with moisture if you need to.  I made the Buffalo Chicken recipe on the 5DPT site and it even added a bit of oil and hot sauce.  I had to add some water to pan though because it was going to be way too dry!  I also ate it with the blue cheese dip in the recipe.  My husband and I both thought it was pretty tasty.
