Awww . . . I am so sorry about your cat. I know from experience what a major stress it is losing a dear pet. I am the last one to advise anyone about appropriately dealing w/ stress, as I am having problems myself. I mainly just try to rely on talking some sense into myself--mainly just reminding myself not to make my good efforts be a waste. I've been doing pretty well w/ working out again--and since I hate it so much, I try to remind myself later that night (when I have the hardest time w/ grazing) that if I eat crap, I'm sabotaging what I accomplished at the gym. Doesn't always work. Sometimes when I just absolutely can't resist eating, I at least try to make it be as healthy as possible, something a lot better than I would have eaten way back when. Like I love peanut butter (I really shouldn't keep it in the house) and can just eat it by the spoonfuls--so instead of doing that, I cut up an apple and just spread some pb on the pieces. So at least I'm eating something decent that fills me up. I know I'm writing this late (almost 10:00 here in IL) and you may be in bed by the time you read this, so I hope you were able to hang in there. Jo
Always,
Jo
