HAd my EGD yesterday, just checking in
Hi!
Well, i had my EGD yesterday as I told few of you.....the doc said my pouch was stretched but not the stoma.....I didn't know that was possible. ANyhow, I don't know my numbers of anything (size) so I will be seeing him in a week to discuss my options of revision. I know this is not the revision board, but I told a few of you I would let u know what happened. The doc talked to my hubbie after the procedure but didn't tell him how big my pouch is etc. So, I will go back in a week to find out!
I am thinking about having a lap band put in since he doesn't do the stomaphyx.
Thing is, my parents are furious with me for even considering this because i had a TON of complications after my RNY in 2002. They think i am crazy for even considering anything to do with WLS now.....
Thanks for your support!

Lorri, I'm glad you found out what the situation is.....the band over the pouch will probably be a good option for you, good luck!
Hope your parents come to realize how important this is for you.

Thanks, that is kind of what i am leaned towards is the band.
You are right, my parents, mainly my mom, is a control freak and thinks SHE knows what is best for me at all times. Plus, what really hurts me is that she keeps saying..."look at what you put ME through with your last surgery!!!" (the "ME" being her). It's like she is just worried about how this will affect her.
I just won't tell her what I end up doing I guess.
Thanks for the support, BTW you look GREAT in your picture!!!!
Thanks again
Lorri

Lori,
Stomaphyx is relatively new and sometimes difficult to find a surgeon who has trained and is doing it. If you need more information, pm me and I'll give you some info on a doc who is doing the Stomaphyx. Non-invasive, out-pt procedure. I'd look into it before doing something as drastic as a band on RNY.
Good luck,
Cindy
