Edited to add coffee, I forgot to put it in yesterday, when looking again this morning I realized I didn't list it.......I did well on coffee yesterday.....trying to cut back on caffiene some too.  I struggle allot with it at work though, I'm always cold and it warms me up.  Trying more and more to do decaf.

I did an extra day of drinks because I really enjoy them...will do food tomorrow. This is what I was doing prior to that dang Kashi Crunch I started picking at...will never do that again. Live and learn by our mistakes. Angie I see you came down in calories, was that hard for you?

Dana I know you have no problem with these calories this is where you and I usually stay under 1000, what were we thinking going over 1000????? Well the carb monster is gone!!!

Since I ate some firmer protein, I was able to stay satisfied longer, so I didn't reach for that extra protein shake... that part was easy... what was a little harder was staying up late and getting hungry... very tempted to get something else to eat... but I prevailed! :-) Angie

Hi Angie...congrats on day 4. Tomorrow I will start Day one......I have a question once you get through day 1 and 2 with liquids and you start day 3 can you have any liquid protein or do you do just meat protein and have no liquids?  Also, can you have protein bars at all and when if so? Thank you for your help.....I'm looking forward to starting this tomorrow and want to do everything right. Hugs. Barb

I'm no expert, so I hope the experts chime in :) But I did see a discussion about protein drinks... and folks were saying they had protein shakes on days 3-5, so I did too ;) As for protein bars, I didn't see them excluded, so I also included them in small amounts... :) GOOD LUCK!!!  Angie

Way to go ladies!  You are doing so well and you're almost done.  See, it wasn't that bad, was it? I'm now on day two since finished the 5DPT.  I have to say that my pouch definitely went back to a smaller size and to me it seems a lot smaller. I am doing my best to continue to eat along the lines of the 5DPT.  However, yesterday I gave in and just had to have a Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich.  Thankfully they are low in sugars, but the carbs are still there.  That is pretty much my biggest splurge to date.  Right now I'm snacking on some sharp cheese.  I've been snacking on cottage cheese, but today I needed something different.  Tonight's dinner is a stew that my husband has in the crock pot as I type.  It smells delish!  There are some potatoes in there so when I get my serving, I will avoid them.  Other than that it's beef and veggies.  I'm hoping there is some leftover so I can take some for lunch tomorrow.  If not, we bought a rostisserie chicken for lunch and there's enough left to make the feta chicken salad.  Although I just realized I have no feta and we already went food shopping.  Rats.  Oh well, I'll just make it without that this time.  I have some bleu cheese left so maybe I'll add a bit of that for extra flavor.

Hey, Ladies.  Ya'll are doing great!  I'm on Day 2 and doing pretty well.  My motivation of doing this was not weight gain.  I'm just out 1 year and have stopped losing.  I assumed it's because of the snacking so I thought this sounded like a good thing to do to get me back on track.  And, Angie, thank you SO MUCH, for the quote at the end of your blogs about thinking you can eat pretty much anything after WLS.  That's me!!!!!  That sort of woke me up.  I ordered the book yesterday and plan on reading it ASAP.  I don't want to fail at this, but it is hard to realize that you just  have to do what you have to do.  But once you're aware of something and believe it, it usually follows with behavior changes.  So, thanks!
