Update on Shrink visit etc
Well, first off, so far so good. This week I've started really watching what I eat, and since Monday I've lost 5 pounds. My goal is to drop 50 by May 3, and working with my surgery instead of around it, it should happen. No more booze except for the occasional social treat, and a visit to Curves gym every other day.
I went to a psychologist who specializes in eating disorders and addictions and I've only done the intake interview so next week will be a real session.
When I lose the 50 pounds my treat is a new Louis Vuitton handbag. I remember when I first had the surgery I swore my treat after losing 100lbs was going to be diamond earrings, so I got those.
But, so far so, good.....just need to stick with it. They are bringing in lunch today for work and I know it's from a pizza place around here that has the fattiest most wonderful pizza ever and I can only stomach a half a slice. It's way not on my food plan and I am battling with myself as to whether I should have a slice or go get something rational.

So... have to say what I think... hope you don't mind... but maybe you can discuss your goal with the psychologist... I don't know much, but 25 pounds per month doesn't sound very realistic... just something to think about...
Good luck to you! Remember... love YOURSELF and the rest will follow! ;-)

I know it doesn't sound realistic, but it's what I'm shooting for. I am going diving the first week in may and I want to be much thinner than I am now. I've already lost 5lbs since Monday sticking to a healthy eating plan. I am not eating anything but lean meats, veggies, and fruits and taking my vitamins. If I keep my eye on the prize I'll do it.
I guess I keep thinking about what it was like right after surgery, I really lost it fast. Much faster than a couple of friends who had it done as well. I am not going to beat myself up if I only lose 30 pounds by then, or even 20. I'll be still jumping for joy. I am jumping for joy right now at a 5 pound loss!

Well, as long as you jump for joy with whatever you accomplish, I'll jump for joy right with ya! ;-)
My goal is half or yours in twice the time... and sometimes it doesn't look too good for me... ack!
But I know why... I gotta keep the calories down and the exercise up...
Which I will, because I sure as heck want to be jumping for joy too! :-)
Good luck to us!

Last night I wanted to eat cookie dough so bad. So I had a slice of cheddar cheese instead. I don't even have cookie dough in the house, or anything to make a martini with, or any candy, baked goods. But I am on a continuous snack trek to the pantry and fridge only to see the same old non-yummy things.
Oh well.
