Welcome to Day 4

I am tickled to be on day 4 today.  I got through day 3 without issue.  Well other than the want of a Coke Zero.  But I made it through without one and today is a new day. I was thrilled when I got on the scale this morning and it had moved below the 200 mark.  Not far below, but it was still below.  And if I have my way it will continue in that direction.   The kicker this morning is that I left my food in the fridge at home.  So in a few minutes I'm taking lunch and driving home to get it.  It's not like this is a day I can just grab anything to eat.   Thanks so much for your continued encouragement!

Isn't it great when that scale moves in the right direction ? Glad your making progress...even if it doesn't move you're still moving in the right direction. Nothi'n better !!! Have A Great Day !

Hi,  I also tried the 5DPT, started last Wednesday, finished on Sunday.  I felt energized and empowered, but the scale only showed a 2 lb. drop, which is a little discouraging.     I have continued on the "Day 5" menu, and have added veggies to it, and some fruit in my morning protein shake (which I make with 1/2 cup nonfat yogurt, 1/2 cup skim milk, and protein powder, mmmmmmmm.)

On a more positive note, my pants that did not fit two weeks ago are on my butt today, so that is progress!

This board is so encouraging.  Keep it up!  I've been away for a while now because I gained back 30 lbs. and felt like a failure.  I should have known to come here for help!

Diane ~ Congrats on the big pants!  Gotta love when they start to slide down a bit.  Definitely lets you know that progress is being made. This morning I actually had to put fruit in my smoothie.  I've not being going much since Monday and that had to be fixed.  I also put benefiber in it to get things moving.

WOW!  Day 4 already!  You are just moving right along there! I didn't have much trouble at all either!  I hope you have continued success!  I think the last day surprized me the most...We'll see how you feel after! :)  Hugs, Anita

Oh no!  LOL  I just meant that on day five I was really getting the true benefits of the test . I realized just how much I could feel my pouch with the dry solid proteins. That last day really made me see how mu*****ontrol I really was and how bad habits made it hard to work properly. Day 5 was the day I REALLY got the full effects of the test...I have not felt bad since. It's just been remarkable for me. Night and Day.  I really had a grumpy pouch...always agitated and hungry and rumbly and gasey. No more!  A month later! Day five really summed it all up for me. I hope it does for you too. Anita

I hope it does for me as well.  I have to say that the first four days have made me realize a lot.  I am going to be continuing eating this way - for the most part - going forward.  I need to do this for me and my tool.  I've put everything ahead of myself for far too long.
