Frozen Banana Cream

Ingredients: 1 very ripe banana

Instructions: Peel the banana and cut it into chunks. Put the chunks, uncovered, on a plate in the freezer, and freeze for at least an hour. (They can stay overnight.) When you're ready to serve, take out the banana and put the frozen pieces in a blender or food processor, and process until smooth, scraping down the sides of the container as needed. As the bananas thaw slightly, the texture will become smooth and creamy.  I told my hubbie about this and we were going to try it - found out the next day he'd put a whole unpeeled banana in the freezer!!!!  hehehe

Jacki: A banana in the freezer will turn a little brown, but not brown brown.  It slows the process. I don't like banana in the freezer longer than a week though. Angela

Hi Jacki I haven't actually tried this out yet - I found it on the internet and thought it looked yummy enough to share with you guys! Thanks, the cat is cute isn't it!  I too have a cat who looks the same...now I just need to get me a chick

I was wondering what to do with my almost too ripe bananas this morning. I did add a couple to my shakes with some crushed pineapple  (drinking one now freezing the other). I hate to admit that before I got back on track, TOO MANY bites of Banana Cream Pie helped me put on some pounds ! This is definately a must try for me thanx !

Great idea! I slice my ripe bananas and freeze them to add to my protein shakes. A half a frozen banana makes all the difference to the texture and flavor of a shake, IMO!
