Jackie, there are 3 programs that I'm aware of.....I know fitday.com and sparkspeople.com are free, there is one some of my friends use.....the daily plate but I don't know if it's free or not. I like fitday, well it's really the first one I used and I'm a creature of habit but it's always worked, others have said they like sparkspeople and the daily plate better.  I like that I can put in customized items and once in, it's there for good.

Wednesday was just an all around terrible day.  I had my usual Latte in the morning, got stuck in an IEP meeting from hell that lasted from 9 am until 2:45, No breaks, got up and had some water.  My ADD was kicking in and was about to rip the head off the Special Education Coordinator.  She absolutly needs to find another occupation, perhaps something that does not work with anyone afflicted with the human condition.  Finally got to eat at 3:00.  Then I missed my scheduled work out with a trainer to show me the ropes on resistance training.  I did get to walk a little bit, but did not get to walk for the whole hour.  Helped out my sister and while I waited, I got another 20 minutes of walking in.  Got to my pool game,  Finally the day got better.  I won my game and our team won 5 out of 6 games.  I did eat 2 slices of Pizza,  But had to eat something.  Slipped and ate Doritos, I guessed at the amount,  It was the large grab bag size.  Better day today! February 27, 2008 Today was rough, Did not get to get my entire walk in or start the resistance training. Got 14,000 steps in. Here was the food:

sorry to hear about your IEP problems.. I've been in a few of them myself so i feel your pain.  Well you made up for the missed food for the day.  Some of your choices could of been better...and protein is a little on the low side.  Hope your day is better today.   Sail that ship girl

I've been posting my daily meals for the past few days.  I've lost some weight and am doing fine.....at least I thought I was. Just about 1 hour ago, I was working in my office and began to feel some pressure in my chest (no pain) along with weakness, feeling groggy, sweating, vision problem and dizzyness.   Well, I attempted to get up to get some water down the hall (I work in a trailer and noone was in here with me when this happened), and got two steps and that's it - I woke up on the floor breathing heavily.  I rested there for some time and then got up.  I made it to my chair as I was starting to feel dizzy again.  I got on the phone to call someone I knew could help me and she determined that I was having low blood sugar.  She had me wheel my office chair to my file cabinet to get a chocolate candy as I didn't have any juice or hard candy (I don't eat sweets).  After eating the chocolate I felt better.  I'm eating my lunch right now. I'm really confused.  I'm trying to eat property with protein and vegetables and not have the bread and starches that are my weakness.  Now, I get a low blood sugar reaction.  Has this happened to anyone else?  I'm going to try to find the diabetic diet to go on.  If anyone has a copy of that diabetic diet, could you please email to me at       [email protected]        I would appreciate it. I'm leaving work early today and am going home to rest as my friend instructed me to do. Kathy P.

I work in an office with a type 1 diabetic and have witnessed several life threatening low blood sugers.  Please see your Docter to make sure that is what you are experiencing.  He will be able to determine that.  Better safe then sorry. Dana

Kathy, classic signs of reactive hypoglycemia.......I always keep peanut butter crackers at work, in my car and usually in my purse (although I end up throwing them away because the crumble sometimes before I eat them).   Two peanut butter crackers get my sugar range back in level. What did you eat today so far, and how long did you wait between feedings.....you may be able to pinpoint what caused the sugar drop.
