Wow - thanks for all the great info! I will definitely let you know if I buy one and give a review! I'm going to check out Body Media right now...

Bekah, Because Body Media does so much more than the product you are looking at and I'm sure various other reasons, my understanding is that only physicians and hospitals can purchase them through medical supply companies.  The most comprehensive ones are for truly medical purposes and therefore only acceptable to certain types of providers through medical supply companies! I could be wrong but this is my understaning.  I hope I didn't get you too excited.  I think that the one I was introduced to does double or more what the one you're looking at does.  Did I say that already?  LOL Anyway, it sure is interesting and I will be watching it in the future!! I would have preferred to have had this as an information gathering source prior to my surgery as well as through the losing phase.  Since I am nearly 3.5 years out and for now maintaining my weight loss, I am not interested in having one personally -- except for the sleep portion!  LOL  Good luck!

I have two sides to my brain - a right side and a left side.  The trouble is sometimes there is nothing left in the right side and nothing right in the left side.

Actually I am a healthcare provider so I'm looking through my medical supplier catalogs for it...

I'm not a WLS graduate, but got bored and went milling around and found this thread.

I just wanted to let you know many of us at the Lapband forum have the Bodybugg and absolutely LOVE them (me and my husband included). I've not heard of Body Media, but it sounds like the same concept. The bodybugg website does an incredible amount of stuff, but I wouldn't pay for the website alone without the armband. Anyway, if you are looking into it, I have yet to hear from someone who had one and didn't just love it. Totally worth the investment in my opinion!

Revised from band to sleeve on June 6th, 2012. Lost 48 pounds on my own in the 4 months prior to revision.
