You have done a great job with your weight loss, and I'm sure you'll do well with your maintenance too. I'm a little more than 18 months out and haven't had a major problem yet, but I'm sure it will get harder. I'm a lot like you in that I would really look better if I gained 10 or 15 pounds, but any time the scale moves up a little I freak out and do everything I can to get back down to 125 (I think I really should weigh 135-140). Anyway, you seem to have everything under control and I bet you'll be successful.
Why is it that people tell us we look old/sickly after wls? I'm 2 years out and hear that alot from my family mostly... is it because we lost too much weight too fast or what?? Its very discouraging sometimes after everything we have been thru, dont you think?? I get told all the time "dont lose any more weight you look sick" and i feel like i should still lose 5-10 more lbs....ugh

You can do this! I'm at my lowest now at 13 months and 134. I'm due for a tummy tuck in 2 weeks. I'm scared of that gain as well! I'm sure you look gorgeous at this weight also. I know when I was 143 I was THRILLED with myself--so I need to remember that if some weight creeps back on me.
I did get TONS more compliments when I was a size 10 than now at a size 2... I think guys like some meat, lol...
I would be careful about eliminating sugar. You want to live like a normal thin person who eats sugar sometimes, right? I'm just afraid of starting up a whole "dieting mentality" because you know what happens with that, right? Maybe just eat normal, but a little less. It's just about calories in and calories out, ya' know? Deprivation and restriction scares me a lot more than sugar and carbs scare me (just my opinion)
Drink more water too. I don't think drinking water helps you lose weight, but what I do know for sure is that whenever you're drinking, you're not eating! I drink a lot of decaf tea and coffee--and my favorite drink that I only have in AC at the poker tables is ho****er with one splenda and a splash of cranberry juice--SO good!
Also, the Boca Breakfast Burrito and Amy's tofu scramble pockets help me.
