I did the test at 2 different times and did not feel the "tightening" in the pouch like some people describe. I did, however, feel so much better b/c the carb bloat was gone and the carb carvings were way  more under control too. I did lose both times~do you think you had anything with high sodium or could it be the time of the month that caused a gain???

Yep, creamed soups are fine, but I know for me they do cause me to retain fluid the next day which could have caused your gain, so don't stress about that~you're doing very well!!!

Well, just take one day at a time & go from there sweetie. It did'nt happen overnight for me either. I had to re-train myself & my pouch more than 5 days but, that was a good starter. So, please try not to feel too discouraged. Stay focused and I'm sure you'll make progress. Great your feeling better ! Take care

Maybe the test does different things for different people. Personally, I needed to slay the carb monster...and go back to basics that I totally disregarded since the holidays. So for me...the results were phenomenal!  If you feel better then maybe you did get something out of it after all.   I'm still trying to figure out what to do with my moody body!  Each body has it's own way of dealing with the way we treat it.   I got my cycle during the time I did the test and gained back 2 outta 4lbs that I lost, immediately. But I never intended on losing weight to start with. My goal was met by getting back to basic pouch rules. So weight loss didn't matter at all to me. Hopefully you have at least gone back to those basics and in time good results will surface. I lost only a pound a week after the test...some days more and some days I gained! I'm not able to stabilize yet... In a month...I was back in my normal maintenance range. It's a sloooow process years post op. Like I said...my own body is a force I have no idea how to control even still.  But the test showed me that I definately do still have my tool in working order...I really hope you find that too. After the weight loss stops...you really are in control and if you depend on your pouch to do all the work...It's a sad fate. I think I might have even thought I wouldn't have to work too hard, just make good choices and my pouch would keep my intake small...WRONG!!! LOL I can eat and I am not always aware of what are good choices when I am faced with choices in a restaurant.  I try to plan ahead...but those bad choices are so well hidden in salads (dressings)and veggies(soaked in butter)  If you don't make it yourself you really don't know what you are getting.   Okay...so I have totally gone off into a tangent...I'm sorry!   I'm glad you at least feel better!  I feel 100% better...My pouch was soooo miserable. I felt awful. So that's all gone!  Hugs, Anita

I think the pouch test says it isn't necessarily meant to cause us to lose weight (that's just a side affect for some) but to retrain the pouch and gain control.  Saying that it is also very possible high sodium is causing the regain. Don't give up....you're feeling better that's the best part and you are more in control today than you were 4 days ago.
