High Protein Textured Vegetable Protein by Bob's Red Mill. It's sort of nutty tasting but 1/4 cup (which is a serving) is 12 grams of protein. That mixes with 1/4 cup of water to cook it. it comes out clumpy and not smooth. Sort of like Grapenuts if you cook those I think. I added 1/4 cup dried strawberries to 2 servings and put a dab of soy milk on it and it wasn't bad at all.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Welcome aboard and glad to see you coming out of the shadows.  I promise we dont bite.. at least not to hard.  We are all the captains of our own ship here and our journeys may be different but the one thing we have is the support of each other.. Those sneaky little potatoes and things can really get you.  I dont know how often I log something in and say.. omgo****'s that much.. some things I wont touch anymore cause I dont want to waste my cals on it..hehehe... logging really helps me a lot. You had a good day.  tell me.. are you maintaining, trying to loose or trying to gain.  That helps us know what your goals are and where you are in your journey. Again.  welcome and I will see you tomorrow Carla

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'm 6 years post-op, proximal lap RNY. I lost 100 pounds originally, not quite to goal... lost focus and gained 37 back. I lost that 37 again, and a few more on top of that. my nut wants me to lose about 30 more pounds, I'm thinking 40. I usually eat between 1000 and 1300 calories a day. Yesterday's rollicking feast day was preceded by two just-under-1000 days-- some days I just can't get it all in. It all averages out for me, though. My pouch works great, I'm losing a little over 2 pounds a week. I'm aiming to hit my new-and-improved goal early this summer. See you tomorrow!
