Day 1 of pouch test- wanna cheat!!

April, I'm on Day 5, so I'm near the end of the tunnel!  Do try to hang in there as best as you can!   I thought Days 1 & 2 were tough for sure.   I basically drank all day long--when I wasn't peeing, that is!!   I didn't eat anything creative from a recipe--just too lazy, and none of it really sounded appealing to me.  I ate sf Popsicles like they were going out of style--the same w/ sf jello w/ a tiny bit of ff whipped topping.  I know the website mentioned eating an orange if you are going nuts or have a headache.  I didn't have any actual physical problems (other than the constant peeing), but my head hunger was ferocious!  Thank heavens, I never was actually physically hungry. Just do the best you can!  There are those who just can't make themselves do it, and there's certainly no shame in that!  Any variation you can do will help you get some control back! Good luck--and if you can make it til Day 3, it's SO MUCH BETTER!!!!

April, Hang in there, you can do it. I know you can. I tried the test a months ago and didn't make it but a half day before I cheated..lol However I'm on Day 3 today and I have not cheated at all. My problem I believe was I did not plan my meals but I'm learning to do that and it seems to be getting easier and it's only day 3. Just keep telling yourself you can do it. I guess when I first posted here on Wednesday I had hit rock bottom and was depressed but the folks here embrassed me and gave me plenty of encouraging words to let me know I can do it so I'm exteneded that to you....again you can do it girl :)

thank you all for the support. end of day one and i hate a cut out cookie :(  now i really feel like a failure. i have been eating sf jello and popsicles and pudding. all of those didnt fill me... at least in my end. the minute i ate that size of a half dollar sized  easter cookie... it felt heavy and sweet and i could feel it in my stomach i was sorry i did it then.  Do i start all over tomorrow or just move on to day 2.  i really did try so hard...i have 4 kids and the snack food is everywhere.  i did get them mcdonalds and had to feed my 1 1/2 yr old her nuggets and i didnt touch them or any fries... i love nuggets and frys why could i do that but that darn cookie got me right before  i came online tonight.  So..... do i start all over now?

April, I've been reading a lot of the 5DPT posts here since I've been doing it with Melissa.  It is day four for me and today was the first day I felt like I was accomplishing anything.  But, I knew I'd be hungry the first two days and really took that bit about 'don't let yourself get hungry' to heart and had a protein shake or extra fluids whenever I got hungry.  The calories came out really high at the end of each day but I still managed to lose a little bit each day.  Don't lose hope over a cookie, just keep right on going.   I had to laugh tonight, I 'cheated' and had a tiny floret of cauliflower while I was prepping some veggies.  Never in my life did I ever think cheating on a 'diet' would be eating a veggie!  LOL!
