Did You Move To Lose Today? I didn't
Hey Everyone,
Well my husband is in WI on business and I went to leave to go to the gym and my dog Rocky started shaking, throwing up and just about died. He was a rescue dog and they tormented him really bad. He was only 1 lbs and 1/2 when we got him. Needless to say, he has separation anxiety. I just couldn't leave him.
So I didn't move to lose today.
But if I had, here is what I would have been doing:
Myspace Layouts
So my friends, Did You Move To Lose and or Maintain Today? Come on and show me how it's done
Take care,
Kathy

Kathy,
I totally understand about not wanting to leave your dog! The poor thing!
I seem to be back on track this week after getting way off the healthy path for about 10 days. I just don't know what gets into me sometimes. I had been doing so well for several weeks & had started losing some weight, and then I just fell apart. I don't even know what set me off.
Anyway, I decided to do the 5dpt along w/ a few others, so I've been doing well with that (almost done w/ day 4
, and hopefully, this will help me get a grip. Went back to the gym 3 days ago and have been there each day. I've been doing a combo of cardio & strength training. I'm trying to build up my strength training part of my workout (gradually).
We've got a mess down here w/ sleet & accumulated ice. Most area schools got out early today, which they really hate to do cause of the obvious difficulties w/ getting the kids home at an unfamiliar time, but . . . occasionally, they just have to. Probably no school tomorrow, which doesn't affect me, but . . . I hate, hate, hate this weather and can't wait til spring!!

Always,
Jo
Kathy
I'm so sorry to hear about Rocky. Sometimes there are things more important that exercise...I hoep he is doing better today.
I did my usual mile walk and 20 minutes on the stepper. Glad to be keeping it up for this long. Ive usually got bored by now and given up. This seems to be suiting my schedule, so fingers crossed.
Have a great weekend all.
Sorry to hear about your dog. Hope he gets better. I have been doing strengh training, 20 min on the treadmill and 20 - 30 min of weight lifting. I can really tell the differance in my muscle mass. My body feels alot stronger and I dropped 3 pounds this week and my scale has not moved ( except up) for a few months now. Ive worked out everyday this week so today I will rest then hit it again tomarrow. I have been under alot of stress with my job and excersise really helps clear the mind. Deb
Sorry I've been bad,
Seems like Kathy, we've both had a humdinger of a week. My female threw up all over the laundry and #2 in the basement on Monday, took her to the vet. She seems to be much better. I think this is an after effect of a habit that started 2 weeks ago. Poop eating, never in her 7yrs had she done that.
Yesterday was the Orthopedic Dr and got some answers on my elbow (its good but...), No joint damage or arthritis but seems to be tendonitis..got a cortizone shot and had to rest it and will to PT for 4 weeks.
Then my husbands truck broke down so we had to get it to the dealer and will have to go get it tonight.
So I know we are movers but maybe we need to take a few minutes to relax our souls and refocus.
On that note I am going to the gym for some cardio and abs tomorrow and finish with a facial in the afternoon.
Kathy, hope Rocky bounces back....I'm sure he will w a good momma like you
Love, Hugs and Peace for all.
Tmac
