Hi Everyone, Well it is now 7:06 PM of day three. We have a Weigh in at work every Wednesday and I am pleased to announce that I am the "Biggest Loser" this week with a 3 lb loss! In the 5 weeks we have been weighing in, the most I have lost is .08! This 5DPT is really and truly working. I feel no hunger whatsoever except of course that horrible head hunger. I decided that since it was so late in the evening now that I would just stick with my liquid portion of the 5DPT and start introducing the soft protein tomorrow. So, today I had 2 Atkins shakes, 2 sugar free jellos,1 1/2 cups of coffee and 76 oz of water. I will have another shake before I go to bed and then tomorrow afternoon I will have an egg. I hope everyone else is doing great with this! Sandy

Wow--was Day 3 way better than Days 1 & 2!!   Tuna, cottage cheese, eggs, & cheese have never tasted so good!  (These are all foods I love anyway.)  Had tuna w/ shredded cheese microwaved til the cheese melted--had that twice; had cottage cheese w/ just a little bit of dry sf jello stirred in for some added flavor; had egg w/ cheese mixed in; had a piece of string cheese--all in addition to my protein shake, a couple sf jellos, a couple sf popsicles, and of course plenty of water/Crystal Light. I am not actually hungry, but the head hunger is still there for sure.   Hope everyone else is hanging in there!  I'm so glad I'm doing this, esp. now that the first couple days are over!

Always,
Jo

Hey Jo, That tuna melt sounds delicious!  I'm having that for lunch!  Ever try the "Tuna Creations" by Starkist (They come in foil bags)  The sweet and spicy one is sooooo good. (has a 3 g's of sugar though) but to me that's like a breath mint...(less than my soymilk, anyway)   I cannot wait to try it with melted cheese!  And no mayo. (Can't do tuna with out mayo, but this one I can!) The only thing I'd do different on my last day was have a few more different solid proteins.  I got bored eating  roasted chicken and nuts all day long and had a protein drink ..okay so I had two!  All I know is that it's been about a month and I am still feeling the results...I still have not gone back to carbs and especially sugar...only complex ones...It feels soooo much better.  I hope you all have great results! I'll check out the sweet & spicy tuna.  Those Starkist pouches are the ones I always get but have never tried the "flavored" ones!  When I make the tuna melts, I do mix in just a very small dab of the lt. mayo, just to add a bit more flavor.   I'm having some tilapia tonight (just frozen from Gordon's--butter-garlic flavor--figure I can scrap off any excess).  But basically, today I'm having kinda the same stuff as yesterday because I love the eggs, cheese, & tuna; and I'm not as crazy about all the various seafood listed for Day 4. I will be so ready to add in some veggies on Sat.!

Always,
Jo

Just finished my tuna melt! It was awesome!  Thanks! Great idea...Sometimes those simple things just evade me. I never liked fish much, especially tuna heated. But that was really good! In fact I need to get the empty plate outta here...The smell of fish is kinda..::yuck::: now that I am full! I love tilapia too!  Not a fishy fish at all!  I missed my veggies for five days!  I was glad to add them back. I had a handful of raw sugar snap peas last night as a crunchy semi sweet snack!  It hit the spot! Without a :::pouchy ache::::  I could not do a regular daily diet without veggies.  I think that was the hardest part for me on the 5day.  Hugs, Anita

Hey! I am on day 4 and I am doing well with this except for the HEAD hunger!!!!  I am SO trying not to think about food all the time......I am doing my shakes and soft protein.  Yesterday, I had pintos and cheese from Taco Bell, YUMMY! I have to say I am not really HUNGRY, just in my head though. Congrats to you for doing so great! Lorri

You all are doing relly good...I didn't get head hunger so much...maybe because I was just so pleased to get rid of the severe night hunger pangs that I just didn't even think about it.  I focused on my pouch feelings more than my head...I didn't realize this until reading what you all say abut head hunger!  How interesting! Hugs, Anita
