Is your headache related to caffein withdrawels?  I get killer headaches when I try and cut back.  I too am a caffeine fanatic,  Not gonna quit either, lol.  great numbers. Dana

That is very true about the caffeine.  It will give you a bad headache when you stop drinking it.  The numbers still arent bad.  your protein is great and fat looks great too.. I know you want more cals but somedays it just doesnt happen.  You still did good, remember you didnt move as much yesterday.  Hope your headache goes away and you can get back to your walking. Hello Carla :) I was playing with my diet yesterday so my numbers are a little crazy. I am a bit of a mad scientist when it comes to my body (aka hypocondriac ;) Tuesday

Snack: Latte (90 cals, 9 protein)

Breakfast: yogurt (70 cals, 8 protein) bar (140 cals, 3 fiber, 5 fat, 10 protein) snack bites (110 cals, 5 fiber, 3.5 fat, 1 protein)

snack: 27 almonds (190 cals, 16.2 fat, 3 fiber, 8 protein)

Lunch: chicken cordon bleu (290 cals, 15 fat, 1 fiber, 23 protein) yogurt (70 cals, 8 protein) apple (100 cals, 5 fiber, 1 protein)

Dinner: ham wraps (580 cals, 30 fat, 7 fiber, 34 protein)

snack: salad with cheese n dressing (200 cals, 18 fats, 5 fiber, 9 protein) bar (140 cals, 3 fiber, 5 fat, 10 protein) nacho chips (120 cals, 4 fat, 2 fiber, 2 protein)

snack: cereal (185 cals, 24 fiber, 9 protein) bar (130 cals, 5 fat, 4 fiber, 2 protein) yogurt (70 cals, 8 protein)

Well Kitty I saw your post the yesterday about increasing your fat.. I would say you did that. Now if you dont get hardening of the arteries you should have a good poop.. Of course with all that fiber in you, you may not have enough time for it to stay in there...lol.. I have not heard of upping the fat to go potty so that is a new one to me.  I know with DS it helps but they also dont absorb it.  I guess you can be the tester on this although I am not sure if it would be from the increase in fiber or the increase in fat.  wow..  Your numbers are up there in all areas though.  Look at your protein... Sounds like a very interesting eating day if I do say so myself.   Let us know how it all comes out... Carla

I took 2 senokot this morning.. and its still not coming out.. I fear my weight may be going in the toilet, so to speak ;) RNY people malabsorb fat and protein. Not as much as DSers, of course. How much would depend on how much you have been bypassed and how much soluable fiber and dairy you eat. Both bind with fat to keep you from absorbing it.  Fat soluable vitamins need a healthy dose of fats to get absorbed. If you eat a low fat diet and are intestinally bypassed you are looking at rocky waters in your future :( There is so much more to this RNY thing than most people, even medical people, are aware of. If you only eat a low fat diet you have no way of knowing if you malabsorb fats. I naturally prefer lower fat, higher carb/protein foods. The only time I KNOW I malabsorb it is when I have no control over my eats. "Normal" food has a LOT of fat in it that I usually avoid. The only time my consitipation has been relieved is when I was eating "normally" and the BMs I had were full of fat. It was like a mud puddle in the yard when I was a kid ;) Yeah we were hillbillies leaving oil and gasoline all over the place while fixin' up many a jalopy ;) Anywho, yesterday was a good test day because I am pmsing so I figured I would put it to good use :P I think I am too backed up now though.. I may have to do liquids and phospho soda to clean out and start all over. Yeah waaaay too much info hehehe Thanks Carla :) HUGS PK

YIKES.... that is terrible. I have.. knock on wood had no real problems with constipation.  I go pretty regular.. daily most of the time.  I dont know what I would do if I had your problem.  I know if I eat ice cream.. yes ice cream I stay pretty regular... Of course that could just be rationalization but it has always seemed to work.. .lol.. I hope you get it sorted out soon cause it cant be fun feeling like you are pluged up all the time. Carla

heheheh Icecream! I am about to add it into my diet actually! I had 1 or 2 scoops a day while away ;) maaaaybe it was the ice cream that loosened me up??? heheheh. I actually have found York NSA Peppermint Patties to be my BEST bowel softener. They are 110 cals and 27 sugar alcohols for 3. I have done some experimenting and 4 is my lucky number. I usually have a nice day after the mints (but oooh a baaaad night for hubby). This constipation thing is just simply YUC****ep treating the problem with temporary aids but I know I can find something more permanent and if not I have an excuse to eat chocolates and ice cream a couple times a week hehehe.  Thanks Carla, youre a doll :) HUGS PK

Way back in my younger years I worked at a convalscent.  I would spend hours talking and listening to the people there.  I learned more during that time than I have ever learned.  Age is timeless and memories of the past are priceless.
