Good evening Carla, I had a good day,  Was a bit high but in all the right places.  got my daily walk in and have stepped 11240 steps today and I still will get some steps in before bed.  Made an awsome dinner.  Tacos with homemade Salsa, mango salsa and guacamole.  I bought and tried some low carb tortillas and they were great.  I got in an amazing amount of fiber, can you believe I got in 37 Grams!  so that lowers my net carbs by that much.  My salsa has Tomatoes, onions, serrano peppers, cabbage, radishes, cucumbers, jalepenos, lime juice, pickle juice and cilantro.  It is the BOMB!  My niece made homemade mango salso and it was very refreshing, sweet and hot.  Here is my food for today:

Ok, I'm new at this and I'm unsure of my cal count so I'm leaving it out.   B- Coffee with a stir in of my new elite mint protien. Multi-vits and 1 oz co-jack cheese. snack- one package of the "just a handful of" cashews from Trader joes. One South beach diet protien bar.  A few bites dunno... 2 table spoons? Three? Of sugar free yoghurt. L- Campbells soup at hand tomato soup and one pamagian stick (T.J.s again)  pre-supper snack 20 oz water mixed with more eliete protien. Uno piece godiva dark chocolate.. one of the truffles. 3 oz avacado.and a small handfull of corn chips kidnapped from my kiddos abandoned bag. D- about 1 oz each Polska kielbasa sausage and augraten potatos with bacon. Plenty of water and crystal light total through out the day. Not feeling well today so it was pretty easy to keep it simple - but I could have dialed down the sugars and skipped snagging even a few of the chips.

Yes you can do this!  I do my food and activity journal on www.fitday.com and it is easy to use, calculates everthing for me.  I am able to make nutritional goals and look at reports and I can make the journal public.  If you want to check mine out it is on the link below.  Welcome to this thread, it has helped me alot.

Welcome aboard captain.  Yes you can do this.  I use sparkpeople.com for my input.  Get back to those basics and sail that ship along with us.  You will get there.  We are a great group and offer a lot of support. Check out that intake.  I think you will be surprised with the numbers.  Day doesnt look bad but I know that sausage can really add the cals and fat pretty quick.  Might want to get more protein in if you are still trying to loose.   Again welcome aboard... and I hope to see you tomorrow Carla

Not the Same Dawn
on 2/19/08 11:08 pm - BEE EFF EEE, CA
I got up really early on Tuesday because I had a raging headache and I could never really get it to go away. I tried tylenol and then junior chewable tylenol and it just didn't even touch it. I only walked 1.24 miles too so you can see I spent most of the day hiding my face in bed and on the couch... Breakfast: Kashi Hot Cereal, Protein Powder, Wheat Germ, Soy Milk, herb tea (2 cups) Snack: 1 oz Mozzarella cheese, Orange  Lunhc: Pork Roast and Pinto Beans (crystal light 24 oz) Snack: Dannon 4 oz yogurt, SF Chocolate Chunk Cookie Snack before dinner: 1.5 oz Bison Jerky Dinner: 3.2 oz Salmon Patty, 1 cup of shredded lettuce, Caesar Salad and some 7 layer bean dip without chips. (crystal light 24 oz) Dessert: V-8 Juice, 1 very small cup of regular coffee. Totals for the day:  Calories: 1537 Fat: 45 Carbs: 164 Protein: 126 Good protein numbers, everything else was low.  I'm trying consciously to look for added vitamins in places like the V-8 Juice. I'm still taking my vitamins including Calcium Citrate, Biotin, Omega 3 and B-12 along with the 3 chewable Multis and 2 Calcium Carbonate chews (I like the way those taste). I'm getting at least 60 fluid ounces of liquid (mostly water) and I'm trying really hard to cut out the coffee/caffeine but I really don't want to and so that is hard. I've been drinking coffee since i was 13 years old so I'm really having a hard time of it with that.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!
