Day 2 of 5 Day Pouch Test
Hi Lorri and all the other 5dpt'ers,
well 5:38pm on day 2 and I am doing great with sticking this out. I had my Atkins shake for breakfast, broth with unjury protein for lunch, 90 oz of water and 1 1/2 cups of coffee. Tonight I will have another shake and a sugar free pudding and that should do it. Good luck to everyone tomorrow. WE CAN DO THIS!!

Today. I. Am. Hanging. On. By. My. Fingernails.
I thought yesterday was easier--maybe I was just more "pumped"! This afternoon, I was stripping wallpaper (4 layers!!), making v-e-r-y slow & frustrating progress; in fact, I could only tolerate doing it a couple hrs. and then just had to stop. Normally, I would have flopped down and rewarded/comforted myself w/ some junk carbs, but I resisted!!!!
I did go to bed earlier than usual last night, and I absolutely will do the same tonight, as I will probably be climbing the walls by then!
I am dying for some tuna, cottage cheese, and eggs tomorrow!!!
Hope the rest of you are doing well! And thanks for the "cheerleading" from those of you who aren't but are giving us some much-appreciated encouragement!

Always,
Jo

YOU can do this! See, you didn't eat carbs yesterday when you normally would have so that shows you are strong!

This is working!!! You get eggs on day 3 too so enjoy!!!
Let me know how you do!!!!!
GOOD LUCK JO!!!

You may wanna add a half of an orange into your routine.. i am doing this every day and it helps with the carb withdrawl headaches and need for "energy". I did it before on other diets in the past when I was preop with high protein diets and it really does take the edge off... I do it in the middle of the day. It hasn't hurt my weight loss at all and even Kaye says on her sight to do it. Or a 1/2 small apple. Hang in there!

Thanks, Melissa. I actually remembered about the orange last night, and I had some in one of the fridge drawers, but by that time, I was getting pretty close to going to bed, so I just didn't have one.
Today--Day 3 at last!!--is much, much better!
Tuna never tasted so good! (Well, actually, eating it on bread would have been better, but that will come in a couple days.) But I love it just melted w/ cheese on a plate too!
Thanks for trying to help!

Always,
Jo
I can't wait for tomorrow to be able to chew something other than jello haha.. do u notice any more restriction?

Lorri, I did really well on Day 1. Its a good thing too, because I'll be doing it again tomorrow! I unexpectedly had to go into the office today (I normally work from home) and let myself be talked into going out to lunch. Then my cousin called and said "lets do dinner". Of course, I didn't say no! Fortunately, I ate fairly well.
You're doing great!
Michele
