Vitalady and supplements

I just wanted to point out and comment how well my new vitamin regimine has been working after 3 months.  Apparently I was under-supplementing.  Vitalady gave me some of her personal advice on what I might try and things have worked well.  I haven't had the labs drawn yet, but will in  a couple of weeks.  How do I know they are making a difference?  Well, I believe that more aggressive D has led to mood elevation and clarity of mind.  The consistant use and type of calcium citrate has worked WONDERS for my hair and especially fingernails that used to split and curl under all the time.  NO MORE!!!  They look beautiful.  I have had dark eye circles both under and above my eyes for years.  The tender iron w/ vitamin c seems to have neutralized that sign of vitamin deficiency.  I don't look 'sick' without makefup for the first time in 5 years.  I don't know exactly what my B-1 and A have been doing, but hopefully they show up on the labs.  But I am quite pleased over all.  Not a waste of money at all and seems like it could make a huge long term difference to stay on this regimine.   Thanks Vitalady and I encourage all to stay on those supplements! Rachael! That's wonderful! I know, I used to have those dark circles and weird cracking nails and dry brittle hair...The right vitamins make the most amazing difference! I've heard VitaLady has worked her magic and knowledge of vitamins/supplements on soooo many people!  (I was also hypothyroid and that does have some of the same symptoms) I am one of those people that eats my vitamins in my foods but I do still take most of my supps (Although not religiously the last two years)  It was more like whenever I remembered or when I noticed any or some of those symptoms you mentioned.  Since I came here less than a month ago...I have been taking all of them religiously.  I was going to wait and see what my labs were like first, just to see if I had any definciencies eating very aware of what foods give me what vitamins....but...I could not get an appointment for weeks!  So I started taking them after all the deficiency horror stories! It really frightened me. I'm hoping I am not one of those people that has one...but after four years I just feel like a regular normal sized person and I cannot allow myself that freedom because I am NOT a normal person...I had WLS and with that comes a certain responsibility to my self and my health! So I am glad you too are taking responsibility for your health...You are young and lovely!  There is just no reason to suffer when all you had to do was take those supplements! I'll have my labs in about two weeks!  YAY!!!  :::pats self on back:::: You can bet I'll be on VitaLady like a:::: pouncing kittten::::!  LOL Hopefully...I won't have to pounce, I hear she already has a big fat gray cat at home! Rachael, I need to increase my vitamin D also.  Could you tell my what Vitalady recommended for you?  I believe that I will order it.   Sondra

I know that it needs to be vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) in a dry form.  Usually it's not dry and we don't absorb oil/fat so well.  She has a ton to choose from on her site vitalady.com, but it can be found other places too.  Good luck Rachael

Rachael, I totally agree.  I have been following her guidelines for a  couple of months now, and I feel great.  I love the tender iron, and all the other stuff I'm on.  I ran out of her D, so I bought some at the drug store (the right kind) but when I got it home I realized that I have to take a handful of them to equal just ONE of hers.  I have to go order some more from her!  I don't want to take that many capsules, though I'm doing it until I get my order.   I wish everyone would take all their supplements!  It scares me for people when they are just taking Flintstones and Viactive or Tums.  They're going to have severe problems, but so many people resist the truth, so what can you do?   I'm just thankful for all the advice and for feeling so much more energetic.  I got the dry vitamin E, too, by the way, and my skin looks great! I agree, just started a m onth ago on her plan and I fuzzyness I felt in my head is going away. More mental clarity. I have always been good with vitamins, was using building blocks, but I think the extra things and amounts she recommends are good. I found that her prices are really good, priced them out elsewhere.  So I am happy.  Love the shot of energy from t he b12! I did try a great protein.  chocolate truffel  nectar. YUM to the max.  Mix it with a cup of coffee and I don't add mik, but its really tasty like a m oca coffee.  Thought I'd pass that info along too. I agree with you all, take the vitamins. Its our life we are talking about! blessings, Tami

Would someone mind posting the complete recommended list with amounts of what we should be taking so I can see if I need to amend anything?  Thanks

she has it in her profile.  Also, she's posted it many times so you could search the site for it.
