Oh Yeah they're good!!   So I was at my local Vitamin Shoppe picking some things up, walked into the next aisle and wow... An entire wall of protein bars from top to bottom.   I start looking and reading and next thing you know I stumble past the Oh Yeah bars.  At first I was wondering why they looked familiar then it came to me  ...  Melting Mama's blogs about her "crack" addiction to these things.  They had all flavors there and the sales guy said they're a huge seller (maybe Melting Mama has been hitting all the nutrition stores in Mass for her fixes? ) I picked up the famed vanilla and caramel bar I've read so much about.  Driving home I could't resist.. I opened the bar and wow what great flavor!  Very filling, I could only eat half but with 26 gr of protein per bar its a great snack or alternative to a sweet "treat".   Just curious... Anyone else tried these yet?  Can't wait to try the other flavors, hopefully it doesn't turn into a crack addiction for me too!  Here are the 5 flavors, whats your favorite? Oh Yeah! Bars - Vanilla Toffee Fudge  Oh Yeah! Bar - Chocolate & Caramel  Oh Yeah! Bar - Peanut Butter & Caramel  Oh Yeah! Bar - Peanut Butter & Strawberry  (sales guy said these are his favorite, sounds like a strange combination for a protein bar though) Oh Yeah! Bar - Vanilla & Caramel edit:    holy hell , did I just read the label and see theres almost 400 calories in a bar?? occasional sweet treat it is thats just a whole lotta calories for an every day meal (for me atleast)!    wondering if this would help control crashes during work outs if you ate it during... thats a problem i've been having during cardio workouts...

I had a sample bar of on of them, and they are great.  Did you check out the sugar content.  Seems it is kind of high.  Patricia

They have sample packs of them?  did you find it on a website ? I didnt check the ingredients before, but your post made me search netrition.com and heres the ingredients Ingredients: Peanuts, Protein Blend [(Oh Yeah! Blend Consisting of Whey Protein Isolate, Soy Protein Isolate, Milk Protein Isolate, Milk Protein Concentrate, Calcium Caseinate), Hydrolyzed Gelatin], Chocolate Coating [Chocolate Liquor, Maltitol, Cocoa Butter, Sodium Caseinate, Milk Fat, Soy Lecithin (An Emulsifier), Sucralose, Vanillin (An Artificial Flavor), Vanilla and Salt], Caramel (Sugar, Corn Syrup, Non Fat Dry Milk, Maltitol Syrup, Cocoa Butter, Corn Starch, Butter, Sucralose, Soy Lecithin, Natural and Artificial Flavor), Soy Nuts, Glycerine, Peanut Flour, Fractionated Palm Kernel Oil, Lecithin (An Emulsifier), Natural And Artificial Flavors, Salt, Sucralose And Potassium Sorbate Added As A Preservative. the only sugar i see is in the caramel?  maybe the milks in it is what makes the sugar 8grams per bar (milk protein isolate, milk protein concentrate, milk fat, non fat dry milk) plus the sucralose (splenda) has some sugar grams in it.  Theres also 15gr of sugar alcohols in the bar (the malitol type).

Thanks for the reply.  Maybe it was the sugar alcohol that scared me off.  I do not do sugar or sugar alcohol very well.   Glad you enjoy the bar.  I have seen them is several places. What was the calorie content?

I have been looking everywhere I go for those things...They are no where to be found in Virginia. (I don't go out special to look but I always go down the protein bar aisles...Always trying to remember whose profile I read that said "These are my crack"  LMAO!  And sure enough...you saw that too! All I remembered was they came in a somewhat plain wrapper in a yellow box!  I must try one! I hate  protein bars!  BUT...every once in a while I get one for long road trips.  I am soooo glad you posted this, now I'll go check my Vitamin Shops and see if THEY have them... Thanks! Anita

I was surprised to see them at Vitamin Shoppe, I like finding them in stores to sample before buying a box (or even a single bar) and paying extra for shipping.    I think Melting Mama mentioned shes found them at GNC as well. good luck on your search :)

Yummo = thanks for the tip! I'll check GNC and our local health food store (yes, that's what it's called!)

cute name for a store sounds like the generic "ACME" brand in looney tunes cartoons!  everything the road runner finds is at ACME no matter what it is!  good luck on your search =)

I even looked at the military base...Those guys always have the best proteins and body building stuff...but didn't even find them there.  I have not been in a GNC in a long time...(over priced in my opinion)  But I just gotta try one of those "oh Yeah's"! AND it's your fault!  no no Just kidding...I'm just determined to find one that I really like. I mean they are okay...I prefer to get my protein in stuff that looks familiar and like real food...and those protein bars remind me of expensive dog treats for WLS humans!  LOL Hugs, Anita
