Did You Move To Lose Today?
Hey Everyone
I can't believe it's almost Friday. Where the heck does the time go
I finally got to my class last night and they almost killed this old lady. I am the grandma of the group and thank god for PS as no one really knows. Due to my never damage and bad knees I just don't run well.... I was staying in back of the line and when the youngens came up behind me I just let them go in front of me. But........They were winded more than me HAHAHAHAHA....
They had us shadow box another member and I just don't like that. I love the workout you get with this class but there is no question I am not into hitting someone else. Don't get me wrong, if someone was attacking me or anyone I loved I have no problem defending myself, but I just don't feel comfortable when I am throwing a punch at someone.
I am headed to Wal-Mart during my lunch and see what I can find to set up some kind of workout area for when the weather sucks...which is often here
So my friends, Did You Move To Lose and or Maintain this Valentine's Day? If you are post op far out be sure and do a few more of everything to compensate for any dinner and dessert you are going to enjoy later
Of course there are things one can do to enjoy Valentine's Day that have no cals
Take care,
Kathy

Okay, I'm adding my two cents to this portion of my personal accountabilty...It's only 11 am here and I've already walked 2.2 miles according to my pedometer. Part of this was walking the cat out 300 feet and having him jog back to the house. He needs the exercise so I did that for him. I also hauled the trash bins back to the house (200 feet) and they're huge and the wind is blowing...Then I got on my hands and knees and scrubbed the master bathroom floor and the half bath and laundry room.
Yesterday I did about 3.6 miles just doing house work too. I'm totally driving my family crazy with activity. I got my 16 year old son to take a shower and change his clothes. I don't know how much more they can take. LOL
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

I've been keeping my resolution to work out 45 minutes every morning before work, and try to do a little when I get home (although I haven't been so faithful to that part). I found an old exercise tape (The Firm - Tough Tape 2). It's a bunch of crunches and lunges and jumping up & down off a step, and lots of hard arm work. My little bicep is peeking through and I've even got a muscle growing on the bottom part of my arm, although you have to feel for it because it's buried under loose skin (no PS). I do a good bit on my treadmill too, but I've been told to increase weight-bearing exercise, and I can really tell it makes a difference.
I did nothing.....bills, laundry, snow shovel. Kathy, we got to keep going....this weather is going to be the end all I swear. All I wanted to do after I got my chores done is be a couch potato. I am PLANNING to go to the gym tomorrow morning. Friday is always an off day. TIME TO PICK UP THE AFTER VACATION PIECES AND GET GOING. I am NOT going to let the progress I made go to "waist". I have made it to 210 and my goal is to be in onederland by March 1st. Keep it moving, the more I see you wonders keep it up just makes me want it more! Tmac
