I had a kitty for 23 years so I know how you feel.  It tore us up when he went.  They can be very expensive.. so far our dog has cost us more than a thousand dollars just for the past 6 months.  But when you accept an animal you accept the responsability of taking care of its needs, good and bad.   Oh is there any animal that is not spoiled.. my poms wont even walk.. they think they should be carried everywhere.. please.. it is sad. and drinking from the sink.. have you seen that cool water drinker thing at petsmart.  it is like a fountain that is like a sink.. my animals love that thing..lol.. you should check it out.. it's wonderful. Now back to you.. wow on the fat.. protein good, cals good, good job on the carbs as well. so very good day when we do the math.  You are doing great.. did you take the dog or should I say cat for a walk today. Have a good one and I will see you tomorrow Carla

You know, he (Lucas, the cat) could use a walk but I can't even get him to chase the string thing we got him to play with. None of them will. They won't chase the laser light thing or play with mice or anything. Lucas will try and assasinate the scratching post (we've had it recovered with rope three times now) but he's gotten really bad about exercise. I do take the dog (my Pom/Dachshund) for a walk sometimes. The Beagle goes with us and all the neighbor dogs. I think they figure we're a pack or something. One of our neighbors came over to make sure the beagle was okay cuz they heard her yelping as she was running and thought she was hurt...That's her "Im on the hunt"  barking and she's fine. There's a traumatized rabbit somewhere in the neighborhood but she's okay. Maybe I do need to take the cat on a short walk tomorrow...It would do him good.  Nope, I didn't walk today. I put in 2.6 miles around the house but that was after the first hour of running around here doing all my chores too. I figure another 3 miles of not actually going anywhere around here is the limit of my exercise today. Tomorrow I may do some neighborhood walking. That would do me alot of good. Clear my head. AND if I take the cat, I have a purpose. Better still!  I think most of the fat was in the chili and cheese. It was good though...;-)
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Sorry I havent posted,  been pretty sick with an awful chest cold and yesterday my aunt died.  Kind of an awkwrd situation,  we used to be pretty close until I became her grandkids step mother and then I became the enamy.  Long complicated story, but I will probebly not have a lot of time to check in this week, I will try very hard to eat right and keep my numbers were they should be.  Something to celebrate for me..... I weighed myself this morning and I was at 189.  Yahoo 11 pounds gone since January 11thGoodnight everybody!

Wow Dana I am so sorry to hear about your aunt.  It's a hard time no matter how close or distant you are.  It's always the memories that remain and you hope to cling to the good ones.  I am sure you have many of those.  Be good to yourself during this time, take care of your family and know that my prayers are with you during this difficult time.  I will add though whoo hoo...on the 11 pounds gone.  It shows all the hard work and dedication you have put into your journey.  Keep it up girl..  Big hug Carla

Well I have been MIA for a few days.  I have been doign horribly.  Dh and I went out last Saturday night and had some drinks which made me pretty sick the next day and all I could manage was toast and crackers....which set off a nasty carb binge the last few days.  Really bad.  So, I think I will start the 5dpt tomorrow or this weekend.  At least for now I will get back on track as far as protein and keeping those carbs LOW!  OK so this was my day yesterday: B - Ramen  (uuum, ya, I ate Ramen for bfast....for like the third day in a row - awful!) L - 1 c spaghetti with meat sauce D - 4 oz pork loin, 1 broccoli spear S - 1 c popcorn       1 single serve bag Pepperidge Farm Goldfish Totals    1044 cals,    37 fat,    117 carbs,     59 protein Man....that is bad.  This is typical of how I have been eating for the past year and excatly why I can't lose these last 25 pounds.  Unreal.

Well captain grab the helm and get that ship sailing.  that protein is just not gonna cut it my friend.  even if you gotta do a shake you need to get it up.  Lots of empty cals full of carbs.  It just triggers more carb eating. You can do it.  set your course and set her asail. See you tomorrow. Carla

Well that sounds like a wonderful time.  I am sure you and your mom enjoyed the great food and music.  We are still not out of the woods with her. She is getting IV's hoping she starts feeling better soon.  It seems to be a waiting game right now.  at least we know we are doing everything we can for her... Very nice day for you.  little low but still the choices were great.  You have a great day and I will see you tomorrow. Carla
