Got some, I think, good news on my dog.. it's not cancer.  she has pancerintsis.  She will be on IV's for a couple days but the doc says she should be ok.  Hopefully we got it in time.  So the family is happy and she is resting quietly in the garage getting the fluids. Carla, glad to hear good news on your dog, I know that removes some of the stress you must be feeling. Today was better, protein low though and fat higher than I like......it was the crab cake but I ate it anyway today (leftover from last night) because it was there and I didn't want to go buy something today at work.....I'm sure it wouldn't of been any better unless I bought a salad......going out to eat is so challenging. I really tired to eat more chicken for dinner to add to the protein and keep the carbs/fat for soaring but it just wouldn't work, I can't deal with much more than 2 oz of dense protein at one meal. We're going out of town Friday through Sunday so I won't be posting.....I hope mentally I can make good choices, I do know Friday night we'll be attending a crawfish boil so we'll see how I deal with the rest of the day. Thats what she said to you.  that you are too thin and you look old.. who is this person.  She doesnt know what she is talking about.  you look fantastic.. check out that new pic you got up there.  You need to do what is best for you, feels best for you and what will make you happy. dont worry about what others say.  if I would of done that I would be 30 pounds bigger and I would have never known how great I feel at this weight. You had a good day.  fat is on the high side.. ouch, but protein looks good.  It adds up quickly doesnt it. See ya tomorrow. Carla

"I think you are too thin" I think she's wrong. Very wrong and judging you doesn't help. I may think I'm too thin but it's not right that someone would tell me that I am. Thin is such a subjective word...I hate that word, almost as much as I hate FAT as a word.

Well, you're well on your way. It's not that far off. It doesn't really matter what anyone says to you. Sometimes we have to develop thick skin. I'm just really learning that this week. Good luck. Let us know how you progress!

That is so great about your doggie. I sure hate to see an animal sick or down at all. Our cat is 14 years old next week (yes, we know his birthday (the 20th). He was born at our house!) and he's had FUS (Feline Urinary Syndrome) and all sorts of other issues including being attacked by dogs twice and a coyotee once. Very VERY lucky cat and very understanding owners. He's our $2500 cat and he's one of three but the oldest. He's slowing down and not able to jump up so much so we positioned a step stool so he could get up on his counter to eat his food. I lift him up so he can sip from the sink after I've brushed my teeth (he's spoiled too).  I feel a bit better today since the allergist is looking into my rashes. He's believing it to be a zinc deficiency so we're testing that out.  Breakfast: Kashi Hot Cereal packet, SF Maple Oatmeal packet, soy milk, wheat germ (2T) (Kashi is really high in protein. I'm glad it was okay with pouchy) Snack: 1 bowl of chili con carne no beans, 1/2 cup of cheese Lunch: I'm afraid I skipped lunch and just had a protein bar (13 grams) Snack: Single Serving Microwave Almond Meal Muffin (Gosh this was good! Got the recipe from the RNY board some time ago. Must report how great it was) Dinner: 3.5 ounces of chicken, 1/2cup broccoli and a tad of rice...Just what stuck to the broccoli, not even enough to measure...I was/am STUFFED!  Totals: Calories 1626 Fat:73 Carbs: 131 Protein: 122 Not too bad for skipping a meal. I think that muffin stuffed me. I ate it too close to dinner but it just tempted me too much.
