Can we eat Lean Cuisine or Smart Ones and loose weight?

I've eaten the Smart Ones "Truth About Carbs".  They are strictly meat and veggies.  South Beach Diet also has some frozen dinners that are meat and veggies only.  I don't see a problem with eating them, but I would stick to the meat and veggie ones only. Hope this helps! ~Lisa

I don't eat them, but I know some people do, especially at work. I'm a sahm so I have time to prepare foods so I haven't really needed to use them. I would try to stick with something low carb and watch the sodium content b/c some of them are pretty high in sodium.

I find smart ones has an excessive amount of sodium in them. Check the labels, but i was told by my surgeon a lean cuisine was a great portion size.

if you can tolerate them!  I can't eat the meat in them....between the taste and texture I pick out everything else to eat.  I find the portion size really good tho.   I just cook my own food and measure it out into my 2 cup or less microwave containers and know I will like it and eat it and the quality of the meat in it.  But I think it is just my picky taste buds!  I do like the Santa Fe Rice and Beans one they make cause it is meatless!

I eat them for lunch at work most days. I do read the labels though. I look for high protein, low carb versions. Like an above poster said, that is mostly the meat and veggie ones. I find some of them easier to eat because they mostly have meats in a sauce. That makes it moist enough to not get "stuck" like drier preparation methods.
