Intestinal Fistula

After many months of unexplained pain followed by Vomiting blood and weight regain, They have finally diagnosed me with an Intestinal fistula from my pouch to the old stomach via an ulcer. My question to the group is has anyone experieinced this and what is the recouperation time for it?  Any and all advice would be appriciated.  Thanks,  Michaelle H

I'm sorry to say that I don't know anything about this condition. I wanted to wish you a smooth recovery though! Please come back and post an update when you can!

I wish I could give you some info, but I don't know anything about the problem you are experiencing. Just wanted to let you know I hope things get fixed and you are feeling well again soon.

I will be going in in late April for them to patch the ulcer that is in my pouch and that has attached itself to the old stomach, making a new route to the old stomach. hense the weigh gain. Then they will be removing all of the old stomach that I can deal without so that it doesn't happen again. At that time they will have to cut the blood supply to the spleen because our stomach and spleen share that. I have covered work and home I'm just waiting on insurance to make sure all the ducks are in a row so I can get this down and get back to my life. 
I want to heal and train for a marathon. I don't know how long or of what extent yet but that is my goal.
