Hi - I haven't visited here for months & months. I had RNY 8/22/05.  263 to start, lowest was 153.  Dr's goal - 183.  Present weight 164 after maintaining 155 for 1 year+.  I am determined to get back on track.  I am a grazer by nature & didn't graze at all for a couple of years.  I have gotten lazy & have been trying to trick my pouch into letting me eat more. (I can eat more if i eat till full, wait awhile & eat till full again.  Not good!).  Anyway - decided last night to get back on track.  I checked out this board to get good ideas & it is so nice to hear from those who are where I am.  My DH - who had RNY 5/6/04 and went from 483 to 256 - (as someone else's on the bd said) can eat more & never re-gains - but does do the gym religiously daily.  I work out 8-15 times a month due to ferrying teenagers to lessons, games etc).  Anyway - thanks, Everyone, for giving me the support & reminding me I am not in this alone.  I will keep reading, posting, and drinking water and not snacking! Back to the basics I go! Have a great day! Hugs - Laura

Hi Laura Good for you...Glad you are joining in and letting your pouch re-train your brain again!   My pouch got soooo grouchy when my brain took over and tried to trick it!  LOL  So many of us totally understand! I can't believe what I have learned here in such a short time. I really learned things about myself that these people already knew from experience!  I knew I liked carbs...I had no idea that my unhappy pouch was because of the carbs...I mean they were really making me feel terribly bad...along with not getting near enough water and drinking wth meals.   I am back within my normal weight range in 23 days!  (After a graze feast during the holidays). I feel wonderful again inside and out!  Yes, you are off to a really good start!  Hugs, Anita
