Sorry for this being long. I just want to give a bit of what is happening & see if this has happened to your or if you know anyone it has happened to. I had my RNY 4-25-05. I have (knock on wood) had no complications. My surgeon does not make goals for his pts. I never made one for myself either. I went from 257 to 170. I wear a size 10 some 8's.  I went as low as 166 after my TT & my 9th hernia repair.I am now up to 178-180. I can not lose any more weight. For  3 wks I have had a horribibe pain. I believe it to be another hernia. I am very bloated in my stomach. When I first get up in the morning, my stomach is flat like it should be. A few days after the pain started, every time I ate, I would get severe pains,( to your knees, crying kinda pains). I have a very high tolerance for pain but this is kicking my butt. Now for the last 2 wks., when I eat, I can only eat a couple of bites & feel so full that I feel that I'm going to puke. This happens with jello & liquids also. I have to take very small sips of water, just like when I was first pot op.  Everything feels like it is stuck in my throat. My food, all my pills, liquids.  I have an appt with my PCP tomorrow. I will talk to him about this. The surgeon that done my surgery no longer does WLS. I switched to another surgeon but I don't care for him. Long story about why. If you know what this could possibly be, please let me know. Betty

I don't know what could be causing it.  But I would be going to my WL surgeon wether you like him or not.  It may be nothing, but it may be serious.  Hazel

I have to say you have more pain tolerance than I do....I would have been to the ER - ASAP! So why wait??? It could be something major and you are not doing your body any good by not getting all that you need. I'm not yelling at you or anything, but I know some weird stuff can happen to you Get to the Surgeon! If your regular Doc, knew what you were going through I believe he would have gotten some kind of help for you before now & don't suffer. We are different now that everything has been moved around. Take care and let us know what is happening to you. Because we care!

Betty, don't wait hon get yourself to a doctor or the ER, that isn't normal.......I wouldn't let this fester.  Even at this stage you can get a stricture (although it is more a rarity than early out), hernia, and with the bloating and stuff I'd want to rule out a kick or bowel blockage, which can become a serious situation if not dealt with. Don't meaning to scare you in any way, just concerned this is definitely something that needs to be taken care of.
