Okay Truth Time! Here is my 1'st day back in control after a melt down which ended in self abuse with a hersey kiss. Breakfast  16 oz chai latte (75 calories 16 gms fiber, 6 carbs ,1.5 gms sugar) This is an awesome drink full of fiber! Snack  1 coffee 1/2 reguar 1/2 decaf with cream and splenda 2 sugar free toffee candies 15 cherries Lunch 2.7 oz stuffed flounder, less than 1/4 cup brown rice less than 1/4 cup zuchini Snack  3 individual reese cups ( thank God, the small ones) coco viva chocolatey bar ( 80 calories,  3 fat , 6 sugar, 2 protein) pork rinds( 60 calories, 9 protein ,3 fat)   WORKOUT 30 minutes 15 aerobic 15 weight lifting Dinner  6 saltines  1 cup cream of broccoli soup  2 chicken nuggets snack  6 triscuits 1 lowfat cheesestick. only 2 cups of water  Strengths; I did workout I limited my sweets when i really wanted more lunch was really healthy Feelings throughout the day; lunch filled me up physically, but left me empty and unfulfilled pyschologically After i start eating for the day, i find it difficult to stop Weaknesses; needed toplan for the dinner when i wasn't going to be home, to avoid the Fast food trap MORE water I would liek to eliminate sweets and decrease carbs

Great start Mel!  I admire you for writing it all down this way, with your strengths and weaknesses. May I make a suggestion?  While the milk in your coffee has some, try adding some additional protein in the AM.  It will give you a better start for the day and make your lunch more satisfying. Mel, you are on your way..the first day or two will be the most challenging, remember as you ditch those carbs and sweets you'll find more control and less desire to have them. I like he strengths, weaknesses, feelings you listed, kuddos to you. I must say I can so relate to "after I start eating for the day, I find it difficult to start"....I find this true for me too......but I also realize the importance of starting the day with a good nutritious meal.
