Carb control question
I'm a little over 3 years post op and things are going well. I've gained back a few pounds that I'm determined to get rid of again. I know I've slacked off on watching what I eat, so I'm working on changing that.
My question is...about how many grams of carbs are each of you taking in a day. Do you allow yourself more carbs if they are fruits and veggies or do you keep it the same each day regardless of what you eat?
THANKS!

This will not hold true for everyone, however for myself I do not count my fruits and veggies. I strictly adhere to no breads, pastas, rices (all empty carbs and calories). When I eat pasta, or noodles they are the House Tofu Shirataki noodles made from Tofu & Yam flour (2 net carbs, 9 grams of protein).
On the occasion I splurge I make sure to incorporate an extra few sessions of weight training and cardio and up my fluid intake. There is no one size fits all in this game and with that said there is a standard operating proceedure "get back to the plan laid out when you started this journey". Good luck to you.
Hi! I am 2 years out, and still want to lose 15 more lbs. I recently switched from just keeping track of my protein intake, to actually keeping track of calories, carbs, etc. My NUT wants me to keep my calories between 1200 to 1400 per day, with 80 to 100 grams of protein. she said that I should keep my carb intake to within 20 grams of what my protein intake is. I have been doing this for about 3 weeks, and have lost 6 lbs. I am using fitday.com. I admit, I am not perfect, but I really do try to keep within this set range. It really helps to journal. Good luck!!
