Just 7 Weeks Until.........

my 40th Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!! (3/22)  I'm up a few pounds to my higher end of the range I allow myself (159.3lbs as of this morning), so its time to get to work! I want to be back in the lower 150's by my bday! I'm not going to "diet" b/c I hate that word and it always makes me do the exact opposite thing, LOL, but I"m going to be aware of what's going into my mouth on a daily basis and I'm going to up my exercise to try to gain a bit more muscle on add some firming and toning for summer! Anyway, I think this is very doable in 7wks~its really only a matter of 7-9lbs, but sometimes that 7-9lbs can be just as hard as 50lbs!!!! I have done the 5dpt 2'x now with success and will go back and do this again if I feel I need to, but for right now I'm just going to focus on living the healthiest life I can and see if it will happen naturally. Also, I am a daily weigher, but I am going to give up the scale from now until March 1st just to see what happens.  So, I guess I'm just putting this "down on paper" so that I can come back and look at this if I get off track. I will update on my bday~hopefully with good news~but I WILL update no matter what the scale says!

Hey Tracy, you can do it sweetie, I've watched your determination and transformation and have faith in when you put your mind to it, you'll make it happen. Are you tracking your intake......fitday, sparkspeople?  I definitely found logging my food in has helped tremendously along with the 5dpt.  This weekend was busy and I didn't log, ate like crap, the scale is up today (alcohol, food, lack of water) and I hate it......all day today I've been drinking water and before I ate anything it was logged into fitday. Hugs,

Anyway, I'm paying the price for that choice now!!! I know I can do it and I'm sure determined, especially with summer coming up too. Now's the time to kick it into high gear!!!! Good for you Tracy! I know we'll all be ::::tooting:::: for you...oh wait...this is not the farting  thread...I mean ::::Rooting::: for you!  haha (Have to get creative with those typos....I used to be such a good typist) But back to you... Yes yes yes!  Good good...I know what you mean about those 7-9 lbs...They are like glue! They just wanna stay and drive a person nuts. You get down 2 lbs and next day you're up 3...and down 1...then up 2...Then down 3 and holding...It's like a gnat in your face  :::get outta here.. ya bother me!:::: Well, good luck  to you.  40...yeah...I remember 40...It's the new 20's!  :::Woo hoo::: My son just got engaged this past Christmas and I was happy, but then it dawned me...I could actaully be a granny before I get outta my new 20's...That kinda sucks!  Well, at least I can move and play with the little boogers...something I wouldn't have been able to do at 315 lbs and in my old 40's :::Wink::: Hugs Anita

Aww...LOL  That's me too...I look younger at 43 than at 33...Exfoliate...exfoliate...exfoliate!  I believe in that too.  Plus I try to include medium chain fatty oils in my diet. I never use butter...Only olive oils in my cooking...It's good for the skin without being bad to your arteries. Plus stay outta the sun more than ever...and use lots of sun screen when you are in the sun. It helps preserve those new 20's a bit longer. It's nice when you know you are in the 40's and some young guy walks by and smiles or turns his head...and you think..."I'm an old lady what the heck are you doing making me all red in the face"  and then you think...."OMIGOD...he's almost young enough to my kid...Kinda wigs me out...but at the same time...It's kinda nice too!  :::evil grin:::: You fit that new 20's just nicely. And just think in 10 years...you'll be the new 30's!  By the time you hit the new 40's you'll be one hot old lady!

Hey Anita - you are funny! I'm already a grandma once and it is a blast - so nice to be able to run and play with him! He's 3 now and quite the kid! My daughter got engaged in December too!  She's not getting married until next year so it gives me a while to get these pounds off and back in great shape again.  Let's go 40's!!!! Diona

Diona, We don't wanna scare Tracy now...and catagorize her into the "granny ages" with us just yet! LOL She's just entering her new 20's!  What's the matta with you anyway...I am not a grandma just yet...but I suspect it won't be long once they get married?  LOL (I'm teasing)  I'll be able to play with them too...That was my biggest factor having the surgery...my grandbabies some day!     Besides that we are too hot to be called Grandma...You have no choice woman!  You let yours call you grandma. Mine will call me auntie or some cute little pet name that sounds NOTHING like grandma. ( I actaully look forward to being a grandma....was hoping to look like one first...but we just are not our mother's grandmas these days!  It's awesome!   And Dana...yeah...Got married at 20..1st kid at 22...I feel like their age after this surgery...but that whole grandma thing is getting closer to reality...
