Busy day - had company over for dinner, but did ok - little disappointed with my totals, but not bad.  I am supposed to weigh myself today but I had dh hide the scale and I can't find it now!  LOL B - cinnamon protein bar S - string cheese,  protein drink L - 2 oz turkey, 1 oz broccoli slaw in 1/2 low carb pita w/1 tbsp light raspberry vinagrette S - 1 oz mixed nuts D - 3 oz grilled shrimp, 1 oz grilled steak, 1/4 c baked potato w/ 1 tsp sour cream,  .5 c steamed green beans S - (company brought dessert) .5 c of angel food cake, fresh strawberries, lite whipped topping       1 oz cheddar cheese, 3 wheat crackers Totals:   1155 cals,  55 fat,  80 carbs,   93 protein and I have to share this incredible shrimp recipe.  It has oveer 500 5 star reviews, and I am adding my own 5 star....it was SO good and easy. Marinated Grilled Shrimp  (Rachael/Allrecipes.com) 1/2 olive oil 1/4 c ketchup 2 Tbsp red wine vinegar 3 cloves minced garlic 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper 2 tsp dried basil 2 lb shrimp Combine all ingredients and let marinate at least one hour.  Thread shrimp on skewers and grill over med heat about 3 minutes each side until shrimp are pink. Can't wait to eat the leftovers today!!  The smoky flavor complimented the marinade SO weel!   I dreamt about these in my sleep last night they were so good.  I had to walk away from the table to keep myself from eating more. Enjoy the day - GO PATS!!!!!!!!!

Lol.. there is an unsaid rule at my house.. touch my scale and die... hehehehe... i am getting better about not weighing myself everyday.  I think thats an accomplishment in itself.  I used to weight 2 times a day.  I will sometimes do that but try really hard not to... Nice lazy day here.. it's raining in cali.  you had a good day.  I see you made it without sneaking a bit of the kids food.. great job.  You numbers are ok for the day.. dont sweat it so much.. you are doing good. See ya tomorrow Carla

Ok well, found the scale and I am really at a loss.  It says I have gained 2 pounds.  I was truly expecting a rather large loss.  I have been eating right and exercising at least every other day, if not more.  I am not exagerating...I picked up that scale, walked out on my deck and tossed it about 30 feet into the snow.

Oh my... go get it.. when you move it around doesnt it mess up it's calabration.  It could just be some water gain you know.. had you drank or ate before you weighed... lol.. I wanted to do that the other day but it the scale came to its sense and went back down.. We are very demanding with that thing arent we.. lol Carla

LOL - it is still sitting out there under the snow - I am assuming it is dead at this point - it was warm today and had lots of melting....LOL  POS anyway.  I had 2 cups of coffee before I weighed myself.  I am really hoping and praying it was just messed up due to being moved around so much - dh said he got on it 5 times and each time it was a different weight and fluctuated by 3 - 5 pounds each time.  It is about 5 years old and has taken its share of abuse around here.  I used to weigh myself literally every time I went into the bathroom - and my kids are on and off it ALLLLL the time (probably because they saw Mommy getting on it 100 times a day)  I put it away int he closet many many months ago - I think when I found out I was pregnant in 06....and I would drag it out once in a whlie to weigh myself.  It really has been thrown around alot.  (however, I HATE to make these type of "excuses for myself) I am tempted to not even go buy another one.  I know my clothes fit better, I FEEL better and best of all, I didn't let this little "upset" get me down.  I still went for, not one but TWO walks today and ran almost the whole way on one with our puppy.  By the time we were done, my boobies felt like they were on my knees.....but hey, it got my heart rate going! I am curious to know if the scale was right......I may just have to run across the street to my mom's in the morning and check hers.   LOL

Ah.. you are still not far away from a scale..  I have thought of throwing mine a few times but know I would have to go get another one within the hour.. I am weigh to dependent on that stupid thing. See it probably wasnt you at all... it was the scales fault Carla

Not the Same Dawn
on 2/2/08 11:30 pm - BEE EFF EEE, CA

I got alittle lazy on my counts today. I didn't add the actual ingredients from some things I ate. I just took what they had at fitday and figured they'd be close...So i'm off.

Breakfast: Malto meal, protein powder, soy milk, wheat germ, coffee

2nd breakfast: 3 egg omelet with spinach and cheese Lunch: Chili Chicken burger pattie and a salad of romaine, tomato and shredded carrots, Soy Ginger dressing.

Dinner: Egg roll, meatless, chinese broccoli, 1 oz chicken, SoBe Granola Clusters (1 pack), one rib I think it was pork, maybe 2 ounces of meat on that.  Dessert.I wanted a wine cooler but picked a half serving of ritz crackers instead, (I had the whole wheat ones but too lazy to look up the actual nutrition, I'll take their word for it) and maybe 2 Tbsp of Soy butter...I didn't even measure it.  This dessert thing is going to be the end of me, I think. I need to get stronger and just have a cup of tea or something. The carbs could be the reason I have a headache this morning too. I drank enough water so I have no other reason for it other than the weather change.  I'm whiny this morning I guess.  Totals:  Calories: 1768 Fat: 92 Carbs 125 Protein: 114 I looked at the list and the highest offender on the fat was the eggs. Carbs were good today, protein good but all that fat? Yikes.

Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!
