Did You Move To Lose Today? Greetings from Florida!
Hey Everyone
Greetings from sunny Florida. Well the natives say 65 to 70 degrees is cool but I think I died and went to heaven. Coming from 10 below to this is awesome
As you can imagine I have been outside taking advantage of the weather. Saturday we went to the park area where the space shuttle is. Charlie picked me up in Orlando. We walked the beach there. Poor Charlie had eaten some steamed shrimp to fast and got sick. She is 5 years out and her tool is still working, slow down Charlie
We then stopped at a road side stand OMG
The fresh fruit was to die for. We picked bananas off the tree and the oranges were so sweet. If you live up north like me even when you get fruit in the stores, they pick them green and they never taste sweet.
Sunday, we hit the ground running and went to the flea market, and walked the beach and Charlie plays golf so I was her caddy and pulled the cart up and down the hills. WE got a great work out. Before we went to bed Charlie was teaching me the electric slide and the boogie boot scoot. Dancing fools
We checked out the weight room here and they have a pool in the same area. The smell of chemicals would kill you. You know breathing deep is important when lifting weights I told Charlie no way are we working out there.
Today we are going to a lighthouse and will be doing steps and walk the beach.
So that is what we have been doing to Move To Lose the weekend and today.
My friends, Did You Move To Lose and or Maintain Today? When you post what you did it really helps others. So thanks for posting and in details...
See ya later

Hi everyone
it was cold and miserable here today so I didn't do my walking, but I managed to do 20 minutes on my stepper without stopping. I'm amazed at how quickly my body has got used to the exercise. When I started last week I could barely do 5 minutes without stopping for a breather. Gives me more incentive to keep it up and build up my times and speed. Thanks for the inspiration you all give me
Have a great vacation Kathy and make the most of the warm weather.
Hi Ruth,
This is just the beginning my friend
I often tell members when they email and say they can't do what we post about...that I was where they are now. So thanks for letting everyone know how far you have come and how far you are going to go...
See you tomorrow
Take care,
Kathy

Well I will chime in, I do the accountability thread every day and one of my goals is to at least walk everyday so I will join your thread if you don't mind. Today I walked 3.5 miles in an hour. That is my guess. I loose track of how many laps I do, but I commit to walking for the full hour and I try and walk pretty fast. I am trying to recover from a 30 pound rebound and I am going nowhere but down from here! I am six years out and am so greatful for this tool! I am from up North too and it is cold!

I. Am. Dying. From. Jealousy.
(That's me feeling "green"!) What a wonderful time the 2 of you must be having--and what a great time for a fellow Illinoisian to go to FL!! Actually, yest. (Sun.), suddenly it was gorgeous outside--like in the upper 40's!--and then this morn. it was back in the 30's, which is still better than the frigid weather we were having before!
My wkend was fair as far as exercise went. I didn't do anything last Fri., but on Sat., does shopping literally ALL DAY count for something??
I did make it to the gym on Sun. afternoon and got a nice long workout in. Finally, I've got my weight training portion up to about 1/2 of my total workout. More importantly to me, I did well over the wkend keeping my eating under control portion-wise and selection-wise, even though I was out of town w/ my sisters. Yay, me!
Went to the gym today also. Cardio for 35 min. and upper body weight work for about 20. Skimped a tad on my time, but I got a late start and had to get get home to get ready to go somewhere.
Have a great time down there! I don't remember how long you're going to be gone.
(You with a suntan!)
Jo

Always,
Jo
