Weigh****chers

I'm 10 months out and have lost 121 lbs; have 40-45 more to go.  The feeling of hunger has returned and I've come to accept the fact that I will always have to police my portions.  Has anyone used Weigh****chers to finish loosing the last pounds and/or used it to maintain your weight after reaching goal.  Is there anything out there as effective or better?  I've accepted the fact that food will always be an issue for me and I know I will need to remain structured to successfully keep my weight off.  Any suggestions?  Thanks! Weigh****chers is a good, well balanced program that helps with portion control.  I was never able to stick to it myself, but I have known many people who have lost weight on the program. Good luck! Tara

I have never been able to stay on the food plan, but the accountable is good.  I used it part of the time while I was losing my major weight.  I dropped out and decided I could use the money for gym dues rather than meetings.  Really I wish I kept my membership up for the accountable part.  Now I weigh everyday and write it down and try to be accountable to myself and my calendar/weight chart.  Good luck, I say go for it.     I did not tell them I had had wls. I am not going to the meetings but I do use their plan for my daily intake.  I did go to WW for the support when I was losing my weight.  I didn't share the fact that I had WLS and no one knew, I just did it for additional support.   Last night I ran into an old leader that was awesome.  She had stopped doing the meetings to go back to school but told me she plans to start back up within the next few months.  I talked to her about my WLS and wanting to go back for support.  She told me it doesn't matter how you lost the weight you are welcome to come back to my meetings support is what we all need.   Now that I am a little over two years out I see some old habits creaping up.  I am dealing with the emotional eating (part of my weight gain issues) and I need to get control over that before I gain again.  I think the weekly support of the meetings is what I really need.....

Jodi, the 2 year mark was when I could see old habits coming back.......I didn't have access to a computer for about 6 months and man did I miss the support here, without it I know I'd struggle daily.

HI Dana,  I do great at work (thank God I have that during the week) but at night and during the weekends I am having such a tough time.  I have been going through some issues in my marriage and the emotional eating is coming back.  I have really tried to fight it, the boards are good in helping that fight.  I do plan to get back into counseling, I so don't want those habits back in my life.

Sorry to hear about your marriage, I think allot of deal with some of that post-op, believe me we've had our share but keep working at it and it is getting better. My fight is usually at night and on the weekends also, today I have done good though so it's a success. You can do it and if you need to chat PM me or I can send you my phone number.
