I had surgery April 16 2007 and was so amazed to lose 110 pounds in just 7 months I went from 264 lbs to 154 lbs.WoW but since November I have only lost another 2 pounds.. I have tried everything to restart my weight loss .. more calories, less calories, more water, protein.(some) exercise (really cold in Indiana)  and don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have at least 15 to 20 more pounds to lose ...has this happened to anyone of you.. I thought the first year was the RAPID weight loss time.. Dont get me wrong I would sooooo reather be stuck here than 264 and I am so grateful for my RNY ... but I feel my rapid time is running out!!!   any suggestions

Hi ssritchie, A HUGE congrats on your weigh loss up to this point, that's just fantastic and in only 7 months is incredible.   It honestly just sounds like your body is just trying to catch up on the dramatic changes that you have gone through, this is completely normal.  For me, it took me two years to lose 115 pounds, so you losing it in 7 months is a awing achievement.   Just stay on course with what you are doing, now that you are down to the last few pounds to lose, these will be the hardest (I too am trying to lose the last few pounds, even 2+ years later).   It sounds like you are doing exactly what you need to do, patience is key here.  I don't think you have to worry about your rapid time running out at all, it's natural for our weight loss slow down when we've gotten very close to goal.  It was once explained to me and others on this board like climbing stairs, every flight we have a landing that we need to take a bit of a rest on.  Right now, you are on one of those landings.  Don't fret, with hard work, those last few pounds will come off. :) If you are really worried, you can always call your nutritionist/dietician and see what they suggest.   Hope this helps! CONGRATS and keep going! ~Shannon

I agree that you lost so much so fast that this is probably your body's way of playing catch up. Most will hit stalls along the way going 3-4mths sometimes and then things pick back up again. Just keep doing all the good things you've been doing and I"m sure the scale will move again~hopefully soon!!!!!!!!! Congrats on your fantastic success!!!!!!!!!

Hi....the same thing happened to me.   Have you considered that maybe you are as low as you are going to get????   Maybe the extra weight is SKIN !!!   When I had my LBL in May I lost almost 14 lbs of skin.    This could be what you are going through.   I am still a few lbs above the normal range but I am a exercising fool and my bariatric doctor said that I am fine where I am.   Hope that this answers your questions. Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian
