Ok, I know it's only January but I am sick of this weather already  It was suppose to warm up this week and it was 9 below and the wind chill is now 30 below.  I need to go out and get some stuff for my trip but there is no way I am going out in this cold I was not feeling so great yesterday so I took an easy.  Today I am just going to do some time on the treadmill and then some core.  Just wanted to say I have seen such a progress in everyone.  Sometimes we get so wrapped up in the day to day workout we forget to log what we do.  Be sure and do so as you will see, how well you are doing So my friends, Did You Move To Lose and or Maintain Today?  Let's get the blood flowing to stay warm. And if you are lucky enough to live where it's warm then I have one thing to say to you Take care, Kathy

15 minutes on the elliptical last night, 11 minutes this morning (my thighs are screaming) and my boys and I have an exercise video date tonight, lol.  My 8 and 6 year old love to do the DVD's with me.

My body is so cold and I just can't seem to get myself warm, what's up with that? I've posted off and on about my struggle with getting my arse moving...intellectually knowing that I MUST exercise for health but just being lazy and full of excuses.  Well, I went for my annual gyno exam yesterday. My only complaint was my ever-worsening PMDD.  Besides agreeing to having me try Serafem, I got a 15 minute lecture on the importance of regular exercise for people who experience PMS, PMDD, and bouts of intermittant depression.  So, because I hate that I experience hills and valleys, I promise to move to lose/mantain on a daily basis.   Today, I started with 20 mins on the treadmill.  Yeah me! julie

Gee, Kathy, compared to you guys up there, we're practically having a heat wave--at 12 degrees!  Hate it, hate it! But I did go to the gym and got about a 75 min. workout--cardio and lower body weight work.  I was motivated because I knew I was going out to eat for lunch (I did well w/ my eating ) AND I'm going to bridge club tonight, where there will be little dishes of junk food all over the place.  I am eating a good dinner of protein before I go and am determined I'm not going to eat the crap.   Also, I'm leaving town tomorrow for a 2-day shopping trip w/ my sisters, so I won't be exercising--other than "shopping walking"!  Better than sitting on the couch, but not exactly cardio!  So I know I won't be at the gym til Sun. evening or maybe Mon. morn. Feel better soon, Kathy!

Always,
Jo

Its still freezing here too Kathy, but I broke the hibernation today~actually did my hair and makeup so that I could take my boys to a school function tonite, LOL!!! I'm glad to hear that you're feeling a little bit better! Hopefully tomorrow will be even better! I did 3 miles watp and then did some pushups, crunches, leg lifts, etc. I also shoveled the 8" of snow that we got overnight and let me tell ya, I broke a sweat doing that so I'm gonna count it!!!!!

I walked my mile at top speed, swam for 20 minutes and did 2000 steps in 20 minutes on my stepper.  Boy is my body feeling the extra exercise I put in today.  But it sure does feel good. Have a great weekend everyone, keep moving
